this was a wonderful watch, really my all-time favorite, except for one irredeemable feature. The attractive leather band which wraps around the post cannot be replaced. Naturally, the leather at the attachment area, wore thin and eventually broke. Since it is not attached by the usual pin method, it cannot be replaced by any normal band and I have thoroughly checked the watch-band websites for a replacement Timex band, at any price, and there is nothing available. So, into the trash.

This is a great looking watch, but the leather band is not durable and once it breaks (very soon), you cannot replace it, even with one of another material because the case has no pins. As another reviewer said, the watch is now useless.

What a great watch. It's good looking without being flashy, and the numbers and dots make it quite easy to read. With the indiglo feature it's equally easy to tell the time in the dark. The face is larger than most other watches I have owned, and it's surprisingly heavy, but that gives it an honest, substantial feel. I hope to spend many happy hours in céilí halls with this watch to tell me how much dancing remains in the evening.

i like the watch. the only thing i don't like is the second strap that holds the excess strip down. it comes off to easily. i'm always putting it back on.

This is a lovely watch. I ordered it, hoping it would be my daily timepiece. I wear a lot of brown, and I loved the style of the face and the fact that it was large.
However, once it arrived, I could see that that leather strap was much much lighter than the face of the clock. There were no other photos to show different views of the watch, and while you can certainly tell it is a lighter brown, in person it looks rather off- to the point that I returned it. The split light brown band just doesn't "go" with the rest of the watch.
Obviously this is an aesthetic opinion. I'm sure that watch functions well and I know it is a watch I would have loved to look at all the time. Just couldn't get past the band!

I love this watch. The leather band is unusual, attractive and receives many compliments. I am a horsewoman and love natural leather. The watch itself is the durable Timex you would expect. This is the second one I have bought in 3 years and there lies the rub. The leather strap is not replaceable - I had to buy a whole new watch! But obviously I love the watch and will be more careful of the strap this time.

I've only had it for a few weeks but I like it so far. Its a bit bigger than I thought but then I have a small wrist. The brown face is really nice and easy to read. I like the leather band and I think it would be relatively easy to replace with ribbon or something else if they don't sell a replacement band as other reviewers have mentioned.

Nice looking watch but the battery soon died. And when replaced, the new one died as well. Maybe just a freak thing, but I'd not waste my money on this model. Too many others out there with some degree of quality.

I love this watch. After a year or year and 1/2 the band split in two. Like other reviewers said, it is impossible to find a band to replace it since it ties on. HOWEVER! I e-mailed Timex directly and they gave me a number to call. I was able to order a replacement band for 10 dollars. I didn't want to buy a whole new watch because I LOVE this one... I was disappointed the band didn't last longer, but at least I can continue using the watch once the replacement comes!

I purchased this watch because it was a Timex. The watch itself is great BUT I have only had it 5 months and the watch band came apart. The leather in so thin where it attaches to the watch. I did not wear it every day! I am very disappointed with the quality of this watch with it being a Timex.
