I bought this watch for my boyfriend who loves being outdoors and loves hiking. He loves this watch, very heavy duty and long battery life. I would def purchase this brand in the future!

The watch is nice looking and is very easy to setup according to instructions. Please take note that this watch is not magical anymore than a gps unit is.It is a useful tool only if you know how to use a compass and understand how to adjust for declination in your part of the world.You can also use a regular wristwatch as a compass if you know how, this watch with a separate compass built in is just handier and quicker.The indiglo light is always nice and always a big plus on Timex watches.Also keep in mind that every time you go out you should reorient the compass as stated in the instructions.I also would never rely on this as a main compass always have a backup and always check them against each other for consistency.Overall a nice unit and I expect it will serve as well as all of my Timex watches have over the years.

I got the watch yesterday. Delivery was fast. Nice looking, big and working well. Indiglo light was awesome. (It maintain perfect time, after two weeks of using it). The date is quite small though. Good value for the money. Recommended...

Great looking watch that is very comfortable to wear. High quality leather band, etc. The date, time and compass functions are easy to setup, adjust and use. The indiglo light should be on every watch. Note that the bezel does not turn, you adjust the declination when calibrating the compass (easy). Very happy with the watch, looks great, and I used the compass feature as justification to my wife for why I needed another watch. :)

I wanted a reliable watch that wouldn't break the bank and the E-compass looked great on the Timex website. Amazon had the best price online and shipped it to me within the state of California in two days, and amazingly, charged no sales tax. The E-compass looks even better in person and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Received the watch and truly pleased in its appearance and compass fuction very nice, and more than what would of been expected from a watch in this price range. The Indiglo lights up the face very bright, much better than any other watch lighting system ie. Casio - poor at best. The leather band on the Water resistant, but I plan to repace it with the Expedition material strap for my own purpose. I highly recommend this watch, and buying here will save you approx fifty (50) dollars. Timex site has the watch listed for 140.00. I've had many Expedition watches and always satisfied. I'm very hard on my work purpose watches, and only Timex has proven to handle the abuse. I tried a Casio that I paid approx 150.00 for and it only lasted six months, where the Timex watches always last many years other than normal band replacements; again due to my abuse.
