Timex Men's T5J661 Ironman 75-Lap Titanium Resin Strap Watch

I'm a long-time user of Timex's and was hoping that this wrist band would last longer than the typical IronMan, with it's traditional 12-month (or less) life expectancy.

Based on the photos, I was expecting the wristband to be gray.

Instead, it's tan/off-white.

Surprisingly, I've gotten unsolicited, positive comments on its appearance.

I never cared for the color- it doesn't look like what I'd expect based on the photo.

Two other issues:

You REALLY have to push HARD on the buttons to set/adjust/stop the various functions which is a bit of a hassle.

Also, the wristband has now discolored like a piece of cheap jewelry to a bluish-tinged appearance.

I've ignored this because most often it's hidden under my sleeve.

Bottom line: While this wristband should outlast other models, it's not the most attractive of the bunch.

UPDATE: Like the others, my clasp broke today... no "incident," the catch is simply gone.

Watch lasted 12 months, 2 weeks.

This is normal for Timex's. I'm wondering when they'll offer a "Timex prime" plan where you pay them $10/month and just throw your watch away every year.

Also, the asking price on this thing is nearly $60 higher than when I bought it.

That would have lowered my rating to 1 star... and I would NOT have accepted this watch for a nearly $100 asking price.

I've had this watch for 13 months, which is one month longer than the warranty. I liked the watch and actually had people comment on how it looks, which isn't why I bought it. The only issue I had with the watch while wearing it is clicking stop/start takes a lot of pressure.
The real downside to this is that the band isn't replaceable, and mine just broke. So, I've got a watch that I can no longer wear.

In short, don't buy the watch if you want this to last.

This watch is listed as a Men's watch by Amazon. It was invoiced to me as a Unisex watch by Jomashop. When it was delivered, it was labeled womens watch by timex. I can not wear a woman's watch because of the small size of the band. As for the quality of the watch, all I can say is that it has a large clear display. If you have a small wrist, this watch may be for you.

Timex finally made a watch almost as good as their old, discontinued 100 lap triathlon watch. This one has large, easy to read digits too, and not as tinny glued-on aluminum plates as some of their other models - these plates eventually fell off of those models, which I tried before getting this watch. The old 100 lap triathlon watch didn't have any plates and held up great for years, before I lost it.

This watch is worth buying. It is well made and the look is much better than other ironman watches. The color of the band is unique and I like that about this watch. You can't go wrong with this watch at this price. This watch is priced way to cheap. I have had many brands of watches and Timex is always my favorite.

I purchased this watch on sale. I really like the look, and it's quite comfortable.
However, like two of the other reviews, I had the same problems. The white, rubber of the band quickly became discolored. The more I wore it, the more the discoloration. Then the clasp broke. I tried to find a replacement clasp because I really do still find the watch comfortable. It'd be easy to replace -- if there was such a thing. There is no replacement available. I even called Timex to ask about a replacement. The only way to replace the clasp is by sending the whole watch into Timex. They'll either replace the clasp or the whole watch, but I have to pay the bill to have them replace the 50 cent part, or just end up putting it in a drawer.

The clasp on this watch was constantly coming lose while doing various household chores. It seems any bump to the clasp from a counter top, sink, etc would cause the clasp to come lose. After 4 months or so the tiny pin in the clasp broke. Since the band is integrated into the bosy of the watch, it is now a "drawer Watch".

Great watch. its easy to read while working out and is well made. The buttons on the side are sometimes hard to hit the right way. I like that the display is customizable depending which type of information is preferred. For once a watch that has a good solid strap!

The watch is very sharp looking but for those of us with some fine motor tremors the band can produce some problems.

This watch is completely functional at a "steal of a price". I also like the look. The wrist band looks silver with a beige or tan clasp. It can be worn for working out or casual outings.
