5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, easy-to-use watch for runners/triathletes !
I had several Timex Ironman watches before, and I liked them all. But this one, ( and mine is the T5K493 version, Orange/black....very cool looking...same functions ) is just my ALL-TIME favorite ! The fit IS PERFECT on my wrist, it stays in place, the buttons are large enough, so you won't accidentally push'em, the operation IS very simple, the numbers are large enough...

2.0 out of 5 stars Straps break
Straps broke off at connection point - rubber fitted so not repairable except by Super Glue! Which was a fun repair but puts my valuation of the watch closer to $20.

Overall, it's a stylish watch and fairly large. The buttons are large but unresponsive if you don't press the button all the way. For me, the strap/watch connection broke after 1 day of usage.

I purchased this to be used for a variety of training a few months ago. I used it for: splits on the track, overall chrono, used the lap functionality to track Swim, T1, Bike, T2, Run. etc.

It worked fine until some seal must have loosened because now I have condensation inside my 'crystal'. I have had Ironman watches for over a decade, and this was the first to have this occur.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, easy-to-use watch for runners/triathletes !, January 12, 2012

The fit IS PERFECT on my wrist, it stays in place, the buttons are large enough, so you won't accidentally push'em, the operation IS very simple, the numbers are large enough for even someone needing +2.00 reading glasses, and another wonderful improvement : the INDIGLO function IS INCREDIBLE ! On previous models ( maybe because of my eyesight ) I had a hard time catching the numbers in the dark. On THIS ONE !!!???? IT'S AWESOME !! I am a runner AND a cyclist...and I can assure anyone, that short of a GPS watch...this is ALL you need !

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy, December 5, 2011
This review is from: Timex Men's T5K156 Ironman 50-Lap Full-size Resin Strap Watch (Watch)
I used this watch a few times and the band broke. I could not find replacement band. I purchased an updated version of it and it also broke. That band was not replaceable. Timex's quality is just not there anymore.

Not much to say about this one. It gets the job done and has a nice night time feature which I use frequently.(indiglo stays on longer with any button press at night)

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the band is awkward to put on.(but i'm being really picky here) There's a little rubber tab sticking out at the end that gets in the way of adjusting it.(you'll see what I mean)

Overall you can't go wrong at this price.
