I'm not sure if I would have even bothered to write a review for this item if it weren't for the 1-star review left by another reviewer. I'm truly amazed that someone would believe that they were getting a heart rate monitor feature on a watch that cost $15. The watch is perfect for my needs. I use it for running, biking, the gym, snowboarding....oh and for telling time. I bought it in silver and grey which was a little more unique than the standard black, and like other reviewers, what attracted me most was the really easy to read face. The huge numbers are great and the layout of the display has everything I need for my immediate day-to-day use. My other watch is a G-Shock which is so bulky that this serves as a great relief for my wrist once and a while. Its slim and light and best of all cheaper than the price of a decent meal out so I can be stress-free about damaging or loosing it. Overall, the watch is great and in my opinion deserves 5 stars.

I'm not sure why the other reviewer thought they were getting a heart-rate monitor with this watch; there's nothing to suggest it has that functionality in the specs.

I bought this watch while on a ski trip in Colorado. I am normally one of those people who uses their cell phone to determine the time. Doing that a little over 10,000 feet up at 3 degrees Fahrenheit (i.e., with big gloves on) got old after the second time.

I am not petite, and this fit around my wrist, with a base-layer plus a long sleeve t-shirt. The display has large numbers and was completely legible in bright sun, even with polarized lenses.

I purchased this to replace another Timex that died after 6 years of use. This new one is more stylish, and I like that the numbers are a little bigger. Unfortunately, it appears to have taken a step back compared to the previous watch in terms of alarm features. My previous watch not only allowed me to have multiple alarms, each alarm could be scheduled for Daily, Weekdays, or Weekends. This was very handy, as I could set one alarm for weekdays, and another for weekends. This new watch does not have either multiple alarms or the flexible alarm scheduling. It only has one alarm, which can be set to on or off. For me, this is the only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars. For the price, I'm still extremely happy with the watch.

The size of this watch is a little bit larger than I'd like it to be, but that doesn't affect the rating I'm giving it. The buttons on this watch are a little unintuitive. I'm used to Timex watches having the light be the upper left button, not the lower right. This is taking a little getting used to. When setting the time or the timer especially there is only a add increment button, no subtract. So when setting a time, if you happen to go over the desired time you wish to set it at, you have to complete a whole cycle (59 if minutes, 11 (or 23) if hours). Another thing is the timer resets to zero after it goes off. So if you use the timer for say... setting your lawn sprinklers for 30 minutes and you have 3 zones to water, you have to set the timer after each. The Expedition I had stayed at what it was set at after it went off, making it easier to set repeat timers. Having a count up option after it goes off would also have been nice. Also there is no way to turn off the button chirp feature that sounds every time you push a button (light button excluded).
The rubber is pretty nice, the frame is plastic however. I do like the metal clasp and the notches in the strap that hold the retaining band in place. I'll return to the review and rate the durability of the band in a few months or if it falls apart, which ever comes first. Feature-wise, I feel like this is a watch I would win from one of those Claw machines. The construction quality feels better than that though.... barely. I'm a little disappointed given the stellar reviews this watch got, but it's better than nothing. However right now I'm preferring to wear the Casio calculator watch I got around the same time which was about the same price (despite it not having a light... which was weird).

I use this watch for track at my high school and to run 5k's and I needed a watch to time my time so I know what time I am at, in certain points in a race, so it paces me. This watch is very easy to use and has so many different uses it comes in different colors and is so cheap so it is a must have I love it. Also like many watches it is water proof and very durable. People have said that the watch part is to big but it isn't it is perfect size. Get it, its the best 20 dollars u will spend. If you found this review helpful please click yes!

The watch is great and lasts forever. I agree with the other 5 star ratings. This is actually my 3rd purchase of it, I believe. Originally from Wal-Mart and this 2nd one from Amazon.com. The downside is the watch band. It doesn't last forever. The first two eventually split where it bends when fastening and unfastening. The one I'm reviewing now just came apart where it fastens to the watch. It just came apart when I was taking it off of my wrist two nights ago. Of course, it's about 53-1/2 weeks since I got it and it does have a 1 year warranty.

Use for soccer referee. Display is large. Watch works great. Only draw back is that countdown timer doesn't retain time to count down, so I have to re-enter time to count down for each half.

For $15 I just wanted a simple watch that would tell the time and be able to use a countdown or chronograph to time my workouts for running and lifting. This works. It has the indiglo and a nice big time on it. It's hard to figure out though as there is no instruction booklet like someone else mentioned, so I'll have to find it online. It's somewhat big too, but seems pretty well made and a little on the heavy side. Overall, it does what it needs to do.
