I usually purchase this same watch every year because of its' durability, look, and affordability. This years upgrade looks and feels amazing. I usually have to purchase a separate Velcro strap because I don't like the feel of the stiff nylon wrist strap, but this year the upgraded strap is soft yet durable, especially since the Velcro straps usually fall apart in a few months, unlike the nylon ones. Plus, they have made the indiglo light up the numbers and letters rather than just the back which saves battery and is easier to see. This watch will last you two years wearing it 24/7 in the shower, pool, and even scuba diving to a certain extent. I truly recommend this years model of watch.

Fantastic Watch,

This is a fantastic watch that I use for running. The only thing this watch can't do is track your miles with a GPS. But if you already know your distance, or running on a track, you can record your splits. I found the watch to be very sturdy, light-weight, and it has a nice Indiglo feature as well. It's a little tricky to get off but once you get the hang of it that's also easy, and I appreciate that it stays secure on my wrist. Overall a great product at a great cost.

For this price it is probably the best you can find,

I bought this watch almost a year ago for scuba diving. Overall I have to say it is a good watch that is rated to 200m (660ft)depth. Watch is very durable, displays digits clearly, has timer, a chrono functions. The only big downside in my opinion is that the 30 lap memory function is not very practical. The reasons I bought this watch was because it is cheap, durable, waterproof, AND because of its 30 laps memory. The 30 laps memory turned out to be a little complicated to use, so usually I don't use this function. I think the watch is very good for its price and for recreational activities. Also if you loose it, it's only $50...
This watch can be used for scuba diving, I took it to the depth of 115 feet, it worked perfectly; of course it is NOT a dive computer, but it can be used as a timing device during diving.

This watch is a nice basic lap-timer watch. It has all the functions
I use normally, and not a lot of bells and whistles. I just bought my third one (I usually replace them every couple of years when the battery wears out). I keep buying the same one because I'm really happy with this one. This particular model has a plastic armband. It is pretty nice, but I did like the metal band better as the plastic band tends to stick ever so slightly to the skin.

The watch worked as advertised until moisture made it's way into the watch. The moisture obscured the watch face making it unreadable. I think it lasted six months on my wrist.

Meeting every expectation,

I wanted a tough, functional, everyday watch without a lot of bells and whistles, and this appears to be a perfect fit. Despite what some might say, I think it's attractive, and I love the clarity of the displayed time in both natural and artificial light settings. Learning how to use the stopwatch, timer, and alarm were all simple, with good markings on the watch face, and displayed prompts provided within each setting. I like that the alarm can be set for every day, just weekdays, or just weekends. The watchband appears fairly sturdy, compared to some of the cheapo plastic bands out there. I don't have large wrists, but the watch doesn't look like a clock strapped onto my arm, so I'm pleased with its size. I've only had it one week, so can't speak to its durability, but as a "research geek" who spends too much time shopping for these kinds of purchases, I would strongly recommend it so far.

T5K341 Shock 30 Lap Watch,

I had been a long time wearer of Timex's 100 lap series watches. They weren't the highest quality, but an easy to read face and simple, functional features always kept me coming back.
I decided to make a change this time, to the T5K341, hoping for a more robust watch re shock resistance, and increased water resistance (200m vs 100m). I haven't had it long enough to give a valid opinion of its durability, but true to Timex tradition, it has an easy to read face, and intuitive features. There really isn't a need for an owner's manual. This watch sits slightly higher off the wrist than the 100 lap Ironman does, but it's not really an issue, at least to me. The band is nice, and appears to be an upgrade from the 100 lap models. The price for this particular color (less than $26.00) is a bargain, considering that some sites literally charge up to its list price of $70.00, depending on the color. So far, completely satisfied!

I really like it. I usually buy cheaper watches between 15-20 dollar range. And the wristband usually breaks in a year. This is very well made. Feels very solid, especially compared to those cheaper watches. It took about 10 minutes playing around with it to see how to use all the controls. I got it for running and it works great so far. I thought it would be a little bigger because some of the reviews said it was big and took a few days to get used to. But i find it the perfect size.

Too Big - Update,

This review is from: Timex Men's T5K3419J Ironman Shock 30-Lap Watch (Watch)
I got this Timex watch to replace my last sport watch. This particular watch is about twice as thick as my old watch. So I do not recommend this watch unless you have really big forearms.
--Update This watch seems big at first, but I got used to it in a couple of days. Also, my old watch is small, so this one really isn't is big as I thought. Overall, it may take a couple days getting used to, but it is a well made-good looking watch.

Good watch, have had the Ironman Triathlon since the early 90's. They just work and I like the design. Only thing Timex needs to do is update there program for the watch. Adding multiple interval timers would be so easy but this watch only has one timer with repeat function. Other than the multiple timers this watch is great for my needs.
