This is my third Ironman style watch (2nd purchased on Amazon) and it is especially nice to have the controls in the same place so there's no need to get out the instruction book to figure which button works which function. The numbers are larger than my previous "OVA" style watch so that is an added plus. In fact, when I showed my new watch to my running buddy the first thing he said was "Wow, big numbers!" But the watch is not huge and I would rate it a medium size. With 150 laps it will more than fulfill my running needs. I typicall run 5 days per week and always time the run whether it is just overall, laps or intervals. I also use this watch daily at work where I need to record times so it gets used a lot. As per the most common complaint the integrated bands last only 2-3 years but when you're only paying $30 or so for the watch, that is completely acceptable. The buttons are large and easily usable with all but my heaviest gloves and the accuracy of the watch is right on as I check with the Naval Observatory about once a week. I can easily recommend this for runners and casual users for looks, ease of use and reliability.

I have tried about three different sports watches. I like the ironmans from timex. This is my third. Inexpensive, dependable. The plastic/resin bands will eventually break, they last between two and three years, but so does the battery. My sports watches get scratched up a lot and after two or three years I want a new one anyway. I like the 150 the best; it has the largest display.

Perfect watch for what I wanted. Something comfortable, easy to use, multiple timer options, great alarms, large numbers, cheap and I happen to work for ING so that works too. Kind of a weird watch to wear in a professional setting but perfect for the gym, hiking, poker blinds, and everything else.

Edit: While the below review does still stand for how I felt about the watch while it worked, I think it's important to note that after a single week (!) the watch face completely froze, and now it doesn't work. Apparently I can't return it to Amazon either, having had only a 3 day window for returns, so now I have to pack it up, pay to send it to Timex, AND send them a $7 check to cover THEIR shipping/handling fees. Definitely disappointed with this purchase.


After losing my last watch a few months ago I've been searching for a suitable replacement. When I found this one (during a Labor Day sale on Amazon, no less)I was pretty sure I'd found what I wanted. After receiving the watch yesterday I can't say enough good things about it. 150 laps is perfect for me, since my school track is at the awkward size of 9 laps=1 mile. Without some way to track them, I just lose count.

The water resistance makes it useful for lap swimming, and the 9 (!) interval timers makes it perfect for HIIT workouts, fartleks, and various other conditioning intervals.

It's an attractive finish too, with a brushed metal casing that gives it a high quality appearance-much nicer than the basic plastic faces on so many of the Timex Ironman watches.

The best part? If you've ever owned a Timex sports watch before you can go ahead and throw out the instructions. The buttons are incredibly intuitive and made it easy to set and figure out without needing to read a single word on the multi-lingual foldout.

Saved $20 getting the ING - NYC Marathon version. Looks good, easy to read, all good the first month.

This is a fabulous watch. It is easy to use and best of all the display is easy to read while running. Whilst it is large and appears heavy on the wrist - especially a thin woman's wrist - I soon became accustomed to the size. The size of the digits in the display was an important factor in the purchase of this watch as well as the functions of recording many laps with an easy recall. It acts as a training log. I look forward to many years of use while running.

This is similar to the Ironman 100-lap that costs about $10-20 more, but this has more features. You just have to be willing to live with an ING advertisement on your wrist. I am not sure if the wrist strap is replaceable, but I expect that will be the first to break. It's a nice watch, especially for the money. I have used Timex for the last 20 years and they are cheap and functional.

Second day wearing it I went snorkelling not scuba diving and in 1 ft of water it leaked. So much for being waterproof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First and last time buying a timex.

I'm a crossfitter and I need a watch for my WODs! After a few hours of researching and web surfing, I decided that I would go with the Timex brand. A considerable amount of people have reported their watches to be defect, but overall they seem like solid watches. My next question was "Which one?". I needed a simple watch that had a timer, countdown, and interval timer, and this watch has met all of my needs! I chose this also because I was on a budget. This watch was $26 compared to its $70+ brethren watches!

On another note, I also considered a watch for my future entrance into the Tough Mudder challenge.

I have been wearing this watch for about a month. I never go wrong with a Timex only thing that will go south is the band. I hope this one dosent cost more than the watch.
