Long time owner, great item!,
A Kid's Review
I bought this watch in December 2005 to use as a reliable but cheap timepiece during snowmobile tours in Yellowstone National Park. For two years, me and this watch experienced temeratures reaching -20 F plus... though average was probably 15 F. Still, it ran true. I even managed to wash it in my laundry, to no ill.
I'm now seeking a new watch, only because I cannot find a way to relplace the battery on this one. And I find myself unwilling to buy a different watch. It has treated me very well for its price, and so, I will buy the same watch for the same price. Thanks for the great all season product.

One of the best watches I ever had.,
By NB "Nate" (Smithfield, UT USA) - See all my reviews About the only downside is that the locking pin holes (that keep the timepiece from freely swiveling) tend to get worn down, and about the weakest point on the watch is actially the joint for the carabiner clip, which finally broke on me after years of use. other than that this is a good deal. 4.5 stars out of 5.

Most durable and usable watch I've ever owned,
By Unlike many other clip-on watches, this thing's buttons need to be pushed down somewhat hard and held down to change the time or the alarm settings, which I consider a lifesaver. It's also an unstoppable beast of a machine. When I finally replaced it with a different model, the other watches all kept getting reset and generally died within months; this one never suffered those problems.

I have always managed to really beat up wristwatches and finally solved that problem by keeping a watch in my pants pocket (a somewhat clumsy solution). I kept my eye out for a digital pocket watch until I found and bought my first of these Timex clip watches several years ago. Because the price allowed me to do so, I soon purchased a second one to solve the ongoing "argh, it's clipped to my other pants" problem. Both watches have been through the wash a couple of times (NOT on purpose) and resumed working when dried out. They've been smacked around a bit (not nearly as much as I used to smack around wristwatches!) and gave me no problems until last month when first one, then the other responded to a press on the backlight button with an odd whine and a blank display, which later spontaneously came back to life ... completely reset. Apparently this was the signal that both required new batteries -- two batteries, a tiny jeweler's screwdriver, a pair of reading glasses and less than 15 minutes each later, they are back to functioning normally, just like the day they were purchased. I have no idea what their ultimate lifespan is, and I am admittedly less rough on my "things" than some other people (though by no means am I easy on my watches). These Timex clip watches are an exceptional value, especially in a day and age when most affordable products are built to fail, or at least engineered with a finite lifespan (due to non-replaceable batteries and the like). Good for me, good for the planet in comparison to the many "disposable" watches out there ... two thumbs up!!!

This watch is cheaply made. I did not have difficulty setting the time as other reviewers did, altho the buttons were a little mushy; but the button to change mode (lower left) fell off sometime during my first hour of wearing it, and now I can't reset the time. I drive a bus and need an accurate timepiece to keep to schedule. I had set the watch at home the night I received it (and left it on the counter to add to my uniform in the morning), and the next morning I realized it was a minute slow by the dispatcher's clock. This was when I noticed the button was gone. I tried to use a pen to push the contact where the button was missing, but couldn't advance to the minutes after setting the hour. You would think I could just know the time is off and make the mental adjustment, but I don't see why I should have to with a brand new timepiece. All my wrist watches have been Timex (until the fastwrap velcro fails and I lose them, which was why I purchased this - I wish Timex would make an Ironman Expedition watch with a fabric band with buckles; I hate the plastic bands) and I hoped this would be of comparable quality, but that was not the case. This is getting returned.

Wow this watch is amazing, it's just what i wanted. I didn't realize you could flip the clock around so when it's on your belt loop it's not upside down that feature made my day!!!!

First, the construction of the device was a little wobbly--the clock assembly wiggled around inside the carabiner housing. It wasn't quite a problem for me but I don't know how well it would stand up to serious abuse.
Also, the mode button was the same button as the indiglo light button, and that was a bit of a pain. You have to hold it down a while to get it to light up, and if you let up too soon it switches to a different mode. I like the carabiner watch concept. This one had the best reviews and look (I thought.) I'm generally satisfied.

Great Watch for a Picky One,
This review is from: Timex T73751 Black Grip Clip Digital Watch (Watch)
I just received my watch as of yesterday, so I cannot attest to the watch's durability. However, this watch easily meets or exceeds all of my expectations. I am one of those rare few that use all functions (i.e., timers, stopwatches, alarms, etc.). All functions perform beautifully and with relatively little time needed for "getting used to." The fact that the watch face can be flipped so that the time can be viewed from above (as in being on a belt loop) or straight on is wonderful. This is the only watch that has all the features I need in one package.
