The Timex T79011 My First Sporty analog watch is the perfect timepiece for older children who thrive in a fast-paced, active lifestyle. With a more adult design, it has a mid-sized silver resin case with large, rounded bezel featuring etched 10-minute marks and small minute indexes. The lavender dial background has a full Arabic numeral display and silver-outlined hands with a seconds hand. This watch also offers water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet) and a durable nylon Fast Wrap strap in lavender (with Velcro fastener).

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

I am not a kid, I'm a 54 year old woman, but I wanted a sporty looking watch with the Velcro type band and finally found it right here on Amazon!! It is exactly what I was looking for - simple, good looking, easy to read, lightweight and comfortable. My wrists are thin so I'm not sure how it would work out for other adults but I can say that there is still plenty of spare strap left for a larger wrist than mine. I think Timex had both thin and chubby kids in mind when they designed it.

This is the second watch we ordered. First one leaked after my girl went swimming with it. We ordered another one thinking that we will be lucky the second time around... well, we were not. This watch is supposed to be water resistanct to 20m, but it didn't even hold 1 meter underwater. We've lost all confidence in Timex watches.
