5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Designed
A top stylish product, this alarm clock is top notch. The only bad thing about it is it is a tad bit large. I wish it would be smaller, but other than that this is an outrageous product, built to last, with wonderful sounds to wake up to. Its a great buy!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent clock, but not great nature sounds, September 28, 2002
This review is from: Timex T150G Weather Alarm Clock (NOAA Instant Weather Band,Nature Sounds) (Electronics)
I really like the convenience of having multiple alarm settings on this clock; it's handy for weekdays and weekends, or just random days when I need to get up at different times. The clock is also smart enough to set itself to go off only on weekdays, weekends, or every single day at the push of a button.

The nature sounds are, unsurprisingly, pretty tinny sounding and not terribly pleasant to try to fall asleep to. Waking up to them isn't bad, though. The beeping alarm is a pleasant beep, not something that'll yank you headlong out of your slumber, and the weather information is a very nice way to wake up, too, so you can know what to expect from the day.

Its compact size fits just about anywhere, and the large time display is easy to read, day or night.

If you're looking for a soothing sound machine, this may not be quite the right beast for you, but if you're looking for a hugely versatile alarm clock, this is it.

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for, October 8, 2002

No radio, nature sounds may be good, but sound horrible through the .5" speaker in the unit. There is no indication that the alarm is set by glancing at the display. I guess it keeps time ok, but it would be worth paying more for something better. This doesn't cut it even for minimal use.

The "buzzer" on this alarm clock sounds more like a wristwatch alarm. I don't know about anyone else, but that's not going to wake me up in the morning. I'll be returning it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Piece of junk, December 8, 2002

Simply said, this alarm clock is a piece of junk. The orange backlight is not well designed. It lights up my entire bedroom at night....so much so that I have to put a kleenex box in front of the clock if I want to get some sleep.
I've had this clock for just over a year...I'm not sure why I haven't thrown it out yet.
Also...
The nature sounds are **really** bad,
The buttons got worn out very quickly,
The buzzer alarm is not loud enough.

Don't waste your money on this clock

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks Great but just junk, December 8, 2002
This review is from: Timex T150G Weather Alarm Clock (NOAA Instant Weather Band,Nature Sounds) (Electronics)
These Timex clocks are not made by Timex, if the company even still exists, but some obscure company from New Jersey. Their quality is poor and the company does not back up its product. The warranty period is much too short for this and other similar products. The nature sounds are cheesy and annoying.

The version that includes the CD player but no weather band is even worse. The CD player does not last more than a few months and, rather than allow the buyer to return it to the place from which it was purchased for a new one, he or she is required to pay to return it to the company for repair. Very unreliable...a company that capitalizes on a name but does nothing to backup the product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as nice as the large one, January 2, 2003
This review is from: Timex T150G Weather Alarm Clock (NOAA Instant Weather Band,Nature Sounds) (Electronics)
I wish I had read the feature list a little more carefully. I already own a pair (one for my wife one for me) of the larger timex clock radios with the analog and digital clock. (T318ST) I am fairly pleased with them. I liked the idea of having on-demand weather, so I ordered one of these. I was shocked at the small size when I opened the box, but because I was interested in the on-demand weather feature I spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out. I couldn't get it to work. While trying to get the on-demand weather to work, I thought I might try to get the radio to tune in. Hey wait a minute, no radio?!? Oops, guess I will look a little harder before ordering next time.

Nice clock, easy to use. But after a while, the sounds just kind of get on your nerves.

The Timex T150G is a basic, no frills, inexpensive clock and weather radio. It is relatively easy to use and adequate for its purpose. The choice of four nature sounds, buzzer, or weather forecast is sufficient for the purpose. The display is easy to read and the adjustable backlight is really nice. The only drawback I can find is that the "sounds off" button is small and sometimes hard to find.

4.0 out of 5 stars This clock is CHEAP and it has everything I need!, March 28, 2004

This review is from: Timex T150G Weather Alarm Clock (NOAA Instant Weather Band,Nature Sounds) (Electronics)
Only reason I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is that the weather alert doesn't work in my location. Other than that, this clock has met my every expectation. I love the days of week feature. On other clocks this has been numbers, on this it is the actual days - so I am never confused as to which day '1' is. I wake to the brooks nature sound and it is just fine for me. When I have had CD/Radio alarm clocks in the past - I can count on one finger the number of times I actually listened to the radio or CD on it. So why pay extra for the feature? I truly believe that this product has gotten such poor reviews because the people that write are normally unhappy people. This clock is cheap AND wonderful! Enjoy...
