I bought this watch for my wife to replace another Timex 30-Lap Women's Ironman watch. This is her third one in 15 years. They are very durable, waterproof, and reasonably priced. The only reason her other ones failed was that the band broke, and I could not find a replacement at the time. I would have given it a 5 star rating if the band held up as well as the rest of the watch - although the bands do go about 4-5 years before they give out. My wife likes this watch because it is smaller than most sport watches, yet has large readable numbers and large buttons that are easy to use. Since ordering it, I found that you can buy replacement bands directly from Timex for a mere $8 (you have to call them, not sold on their website), so I bought a spare for both her new and old watch.

I love this watch. I only started running in early 2011, and while I'm no great runner (nor will I ever be!), I appreciate the ability to check my progress with this easy-to-use watch. I use only the basic functions, keeping track of my total time and splits -- all which is super-simple and easy to see, even for this novice runner. I'm still in a phase where I do short walking intervals... the only thing that could improve this watch, for me, is if it would keep track of my intervals for me.

I can actually read this thing while I'm working out, and it's really comfortable. I originally purchased it because I had added swimming to my routine and wanted to track my laps. You're only supposed to push the lap button above water but that's fine for me. Turns out, having a watch that I can wear in the shower at the gym is really handy. It keeps me from losing track of time since I go during lunch. Now I wear this every day. I'm really glad I didn't spend a whole lot of money on something else. I'm more than happy with this purchase.

Google TIMEX, they sell replacement bands for this watch! 10 bucks includes shipping charges. 1-800-448-4639. Hope this helps! Discovering this fact made the difference between buying Timex or not.

This watch served me pretty faithfully for over two years...casual usage, pool, sometimes beach, etc. It was starting to look a bit ratty, as the color was wearing off on the top, but since I wore it only for sporting and casual occasions, it was fine. I liked that this strap lasted longer than the other Ironman watches I had purchased in past years.

Unfortunately, I decided to test the WR to 330 meters concept when scuba diving a couple of weeks ago. I should have remembered that It had seemed to take in water at one point, but the watch didn't stop in any way, and all was fine. So, I gave it a try, thinking "what the heck...I'm thinking of replacing it anyway...". Well, I wasn't more than 10 m deep when I looked down to see that the display was starting to break up. Within a minute or so, it was gone, and it's been dead since.

While the hard usage may have decreased the WR ability, please be advised that this watch will probably not make it if it is submerged to any depth for anything more than a few seconds, especially if it has any age. I was without a casual watch for the remainder of my vacation. Lesson learned.

When my old Ironman watch started to fall apart, I dreaded having to find a new one because my old watch had everything I needed on it for my daily use as a Veterinary Technician. It was rubber and durable, it had the DAY of the week, the DATE, and counted seconds. It was also easy to read. Well in all of my searching for a new watch, I came across this one. The screen display looks extremely similar to my old watch and had everything I needed; not to mention it was purple :) I ordered it and have been nothing but happy with it's performance since day one. The display is easy to read as well as easy to set and change. I don't necessarily use all of the additional features, such as Lap counting, so I cannot speak for the entire functionality of the watch, but for me it's perfect! The one small downside is that the timer beep is so quiet that it was pretty much useless for me in a busy, noisy vet clinic. Other than that, I love this watch and would buy it again in a heartbeat! Not to mention I actually know a half dozen other technicians with exactly the same watch and they love it too! :)

Watch functions easily, water and sweat proof, means no foggy glass! I have used for running marathons. The watch offers enough laps for me to track my pace while running 26.2 miles!

I bought this watch because I kept forgetting to take meds at certain times during the day. This is a great watch for that -- it has a lot of functions: single timer that can be set to go off in any amount of given time (up to 24 hours), three additional timers that can be set to go off everyday or a specific weekday/weekend at the same times (great for those medication reminders), calendar/event reminders, chronograph, and Indiglo illumination when needed.

The only thing I am not crazy about is the resin strap (first time with this type). For me, it's not as comfortable as a leather strap, and makes my skin feel like a band-aid was on it all day. It's not enough to take away a star, though, as I can wear the watch for most of the day before I have to take it off. I was able to wear the leather strap all the time. Unfortunately, it seems I need a lot of reminders lately, and my old watch would only give me the time of day.

Third watch like this we've had..... simple and not too expensive. Good for running and keeping track. I need to write 20 words for the review -- it's a safe buy.

I have been using variations of this Women's Ironman watch for many years and find it completely meets my needs. I like this color version the best. It is comfortable (I wear it 24 hours a day and never think about it), withstands all kinds of abuse, is very functional with dual time zones, and is easy to view because of large numbers and indiglo lighting. The only time I use another watch is for formal events, when you want your watch to be a jewelry statement as well. I like the color of this version since it is actually fairly subtle and neutral (a dusty lilac accent) and doesn't clash with any other colors one might wear. The only weakness of these watches is that the strap eventually breaks and it is not easy to replace so I end up just getting another one every 5 years or so.
