I wish I would have known that the band for this watch has a very reddish tinge to it. It's almost maroon, not brown. I wanted more of a chocolate brown, since I never wear maroon. I have small wrists, so it fits me great with a couple holes to spare. I bought this to replace my other Timex watch that is too big even on the smallest hole. My old watch also didn't have the QuickDate feature, which this one does. You don't know how big a difference it makes until you don't wear it for awhile and suddenly realize it's a week or 2 off! It takes a LONG time to manually spin through 24 hours to get the date to change by 1. It's SO worth it to get the QuickDate feature! Also I love the gold color trim and the mother of pearl watch face. It looks very professional and classy without having to wear a really flashy fancy watch. I may end up keeping it and just having my local watch shop at the mall replace the band for a few bucks.

This watch is good value for the price provided that you have a very small wrist. I have an average-sized wrist but there were not sufficient holes to fit it, so be careful about that as they do not specify the length of wristband!!

This is such a nice, simple and classic everyday watch. I thought I lost it recently and went online to find a duplicate. The mother of pearl dial provides a warm background to the hands and the Indigo light is handy in dim lighting. I had to replace the watch band with an extra long size, but otherwise it's just what I wanted for daily wear.

mmmmm, things that are brown: trees, dirt, me (=p) but NOT this watch! it clashes with so many things that a brown watch shouldn't! but on to its functionality: it keeps time, nothing new there. the date function took a little tweaking until i finally realized that IT knows am/pm even if I don't! so i had to reset it 12 hours to get the date to change properly. other than the color, which is a little hideous, i like the watch.

For the price--about $26--this is a great watch. I'm not sure that I'd buy it for the full price.

It doesn't look exactly like the photo--the band has a reddish hue and the metal is a brighter shade of gold--but it looks fine, and I really like the watch face. The backlight is great. I also realy like the leather watch band over other band types because it stays the same temperature as your skin (unlike metal).

My biggest beef with the watch is that in some vertical positions it ticks loudly (this may be just my watch, though, and it hasn't been a problem).

You better have small wrists and good eyes to wear this watch! First, the band is not brown but more of a maroon and not long enough for average wrists. Secondly, the date feature would be great if you could see it, I have to put on my reading glasses to be able to see what date it is. Not my favorite of the Timex line.

THIS WATCH MAKES A PERFECT "EVERYDAY" WATCH STYLISH,COMFORTABLE AND REMINDS YOU WHAT THE DATE IS (OF COURSE ON THOSE SHORTER MONTHS REMEMBER TO RESET THE DATE) BOUGHT ONE FOR A GIFT AND LIKED IT SO MUCH BOUGHT ONE FOR MYSELF.THE BONUSES TO ME ARE THE INDIGLO NIGHT LIGHT, ITS WATER RESISTANT TO 30 FEET AND THE AMAZON PRICE CAN'T BE BEAT.

I bought this watch from Amazon in late September as a gift for my friend. My friend wore it for a week, and it simply stopped. It is such an embarrassment to me and my friend, thus I immediately purchased the other two Timex Women's watches(one is an easy reader, another one is a classic) from Amazon for my friend and told my friend the chances of getting a faulty brand new watch is remarkably slim, it must be an unluckily mistake, here are two brand new watches, if one stops, you've got another one for back-up. I promised my friend this kind of thing would not happen again on the other two newly purchased watches simply because from the statistically point of view, the chances of getting two faulty brand new watches are unthinkable and chances of getting three are only can see in sci-fi. Shamefully enough, my friend told me that she wore one of them for a week, and then the watch stopped. She took it to the shop to have a look, the guy told her it was not a battery problem, he did not have a clue what's going on. Then she started to wear another one for a day only, and the watch stopped again!!!!

How unbelievable it is! Even I could not believe it! The chances of getting three faulty brand new Timex watches in three weeks are even slimmer than winning three times top price Lotto in three weeks!!! I simply stunned. I guess I shall never not see my friend again or I shall go try my luck on Saturday Lotto.

To my frustration, I tried to call international customer service on Amazon, it could not get connected. I tried to call Timex international customer service, it could not get connected too. I finally got connected on a Timex Australia dealer in Sydney on phone, and the lady told me she did not know if Amazon is an authorised online dealer for Timex, she had to report to her manager and would get back to me later. She also told me if the watches did not come with warranties, they could not be returned and refund. I checked my Amazon packages, I did not see any warranty cards.

I have emailed Amazon customer service about my problem. Hopefully they will get back to me and resolve the problem smoothely.

I suggestion to whom wanting to purchase Timex watches on Amazon is that check the return and refund policies before purchase. Bear in mind highly likely the watches would fail straight away, so it is not recommended as gifts, or it might even ruin your friendships.

This is a simply elegant watch with a lighted dial that makes it easy to see the time anytime of the day or night!

I love my watch. This is actually a replacement for one I've worn for 15 years. The dial is more stylish and the illumination really comes in handy... at the movies, when camping, to find something in you purse. AND it looks good. I don't have a bevy of watches, so this is my GO TO one and only.
