I'm sorry that the other reviewer felt so strongly about the watchband color that they only gave the watch one star, because it's a great watch. I love it for it's durability and elegant, yet casual style. For the price, this looks like a much more expensive watch. As for the color, while it's not as bright as the photo, it's not really brown either--more a caramel color.

I bought this watch to use when I travel, since I leave my good watch at home whenever I go on trips out of the country. This is a lovely watch, sporty yet nice enough to wear with dressier clothes. I love the style of it, and like having the Indiglo feature. It's perfect for my needs and it's a Timex, so it is reliable and sturdy. It's not too small or too large. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a nice, but reasonably priced, watch. I have no complaints about the color of the band. It's a neutral, but pretty, color.

The dark face with dark hands is hard for my 64-year-old eyes to see at times. Maybe I should have gotten the lighter faced watch. But otherwise this is an excellent watch. Just the right size, good looking, and has the Timex brand. I would recommend this to anyone.

This is a very pretty watch and I'm Timex Indiglo's biggest fan; the Indiglo actually saved my life once (true story!) However, I don't think the other critical reviews emphasized its fatal flaw enough: The hands are almost invisible and extremely difficult to see, especially in bright light. I don't know how they photographed it in a way to make the hands more prominent, but trust me, they are nearly invisible in all kinds of light. I showed several people just to make sure it wasn't my eyes, and they all completely agreed with this assessment. Very lovely otherwise.

It is virtually impossible to read the time on the face of this watch, because there is too little contrast between the watch hands and the brown background color. This watch is not as pictured. The photo on Amazon shows bright contrast between the watch face and its hands and numerals. Nothing I have done can reproduce this contrast. Even with light shining directly on the face of the watch, there isn't enough to make the time readable.

Watches should be designed to allow the wearer to read the time on the go. This one entirely fails to do so. The photo is a mis-representation. I can sit with my eyes several feet from my computer screen and read the time on the watch pictured on Amazon. Not so with the watch I received. Even when I tilt it to place it in optimal light, it is difficult to read the time. At a glance, it is impossible to read the time.

NOTE: The watch is readable in a dark room, with the "indiglo" feature activated; it is just not well suited to daytime readability.

The fix for this is simple: either lighten the brown color on the face of the watch, or lighten the numerals and watch hands - to create contrast, and therefor, readability.

It's too bad this watch can't be used as intended. The rest of it looks rather nice. The tapered leather band gives it a feminine look, and the outside case make it look practical and durable. The price point is reasonable for a water resistant watch with a genuine leather band.

This is the second Timex watch I have tried in the past year or so that has a serious design flaw.

I have been a watch snob my entire life. :)
Now I needed a rugged watch, because doing the chores around here with my Breitling is scratching up the metal band. :(

So, I had a Timex when I was in college, which worked like a charm. Plus, I wanted a indiglo so I could see the face in the dark.
I looked around for weeks, and then I found this watch on sale for under $25! What could I do?!? I had to buy it!
The only small issue I had, was reading the time (I know, bug issue <g>), because the hands are hollow, so you really only see the outline of them, and the cool black background in the middle. Once you start reading it, it is simple to get use to it, so I did not deduct any stars.

When the watch arrived, I was really impressed. The face is very stylish, as is the band. I did not expect to be receiving such a very lovely watch, and I am so thrilled, I might even get another.

This is a great Timex watch! I bought it because I was tired of changing the digital watch I have twice a year. Besides, it looks more feminine and it is still really functional and practical. It is very attractive, keeps great time and the added 4 years on the warranty for $5 from Timex makes it a great buy.

met my expectations, it is prettier in person than in the picture but beware if your eyes are not real good, I cannot read the hands unless in sunlight and I have to have my contacts in. Otherwise, I can't tell time and that's what I bought it for.

I like the watch very much, especially the large case for my older eyes. I agree with previous reviews: the brown dial background with the wire-type hands does pose some difficulty in certain lighting conditions in seeing the time of day.

Having a small wrist, even though I love it, after wearing for a week it started rubbing on my wrist. The face is too large for my wrist.
More like a Man's watch than a womens.
