Great watch!,

I cannot say enough about this watch. The price, style, fit, band, and quality of the watch are just perfect for me. It is an atomic watch and so far has set itself with no problems; it is so nice to have an accurate watch! It has a large digital read out that I do not need my glasses to read--a real plus. The style is somewhat large, clear and sporty but goes with business casual clothes very well as well as jeans. I just love the band--it is a wrap around velcro band and is the most comfortable that I ever have had on a watch. The back of the watch itself is also curved slightly and fits snuggly on the wrist with no rocking and angling while I wear it. Of course, Timex cannot be beat for quality and price and Amazon delivered the watch with no problems. You just cannot beat this!

Accurate, wish it showed the date without pressing a button,

I've waited a long time for a relatively inexpensive women's atomic watch. It's accurate and has the features I'm used to from sports watches. Negatives: it's larger than my previous sports watches, date is visible only by pressing a function button (really big disappointment for me); not sure I can replace the velcro strap with another kind of strap. But I'm wearing it continually rather than my sports or dress watch because I love having totally accurate time.

First of all, this is not a women's watch. If you call Timex with the model number (T5G341), they will tell you that it is a man's watch. I'm a large man, and it fits me fine and looks fine IMHO.Also, I don't get how people could say this could be worn in any sort of business setting. It's a black velcro sports watch. On the worldtime function: - It's not suitable for a quick check of the time in another timezone or GMT. In order to see the time in another zone, you need to step through the city codes (and will probably need a copy of the code key with you because some of the names are obscure) and set the time to another zone. Then you set it back. To do this you will be pressing the START/STOP key 25 times as there is only one-way stepping through of the zones. - There are 25 time zones. This means only whole hour offsets are covered. So if you go to India or Nepal for example, you won't be able to just change the time zone and have the right time. You would have to manually (falsely) set the time in a particular time zone (Dacca for example) and this will mean all time zone settings on the device will be inaccurate. On sync: - If you don't see the "T" on the display, it means there hasn't been a successful sync in 7 days. The manual makes it appear as if you should get a grey T, but in actual fact it disappears. - I'm in North Carolina, and have never missed a sync, (on my wrist, off my wrist, in the middle of the house etc). I have a full size atomic clock in my bedroom that can't get a signal where this watch can. On setting times - There is only one direction to step for setting times. So be prepared to spend a bit longer setting the clock, alarm, timer etc. Timex Customer service: - Absolutely atrocious. It should tip you off that the recording when you connect advises you to remember the associates name and explains how to leave a complaint. You'll want to heed that advice. Warranty: - you have the option of extending by 4 years for $5 if you do it within 30 days of purchase. Warranty service costs $8US s&h. You can get a pre-paid mailer at Walmart for sending it back. All in all, it is a basic watch suitable for deadly accurate time-keeping in range of the time signals in US, UK, EU and Japan.

After having to wear men's models for years, I was pleased to find a more proportioned size. The adjustable velcro band is great, as I was tired of adjusting bands with every new purchase. Very easy to set up and use, and comfortable. Button placement is typical, but you must be careful not to be pressing on an opposing button if you use thumb and forefinger while operating because the buttons are contoured and unobtrusive. Being a school bus driver, timing is important to me, and nobody can argue that my time was wrong as I drove away without a rider. The style is attractive and lightweight, backed by Timex dependability with a 1-year guarantee. I would definitely buy again.

Atomic Watch,

I have wanted an atomic watch for a long time. This watch was very reasonably priced and is durable. It is big and bulky though, so if you are a petite thing and don't like big and bulky...I also wasn't aware that you need to place the watch in a spot so it can receive the nightly radio signal (mine is at 2AM)...I have to put my watch on the window sill to get the signal. If I leave it on my nightstand, sometimes it gets the signal, sometimes not. These are small concerns for me, however, and do not detract from my satisfaction with this purchase. I also like that I can forget to take my watch off, stick my hand in water and not have to worry when it gets wet! And the Indiglo nightlight feature is very nice.

This watch is definetly worth the money. The face is a bit bigger than I'm used to and I'm not too keen on the velcro band. The features are plentiful and easy to use. The face is easy to read even at night with the lighted face. I would reccommend this watch!!

I really like my watch, but the tip of the band is coming apart, and the date needs to show all the time because when I push the button to check it I always get the wrong one and change the settings. Every thing else works wonderful. I like the large display it is easy to read.

This is the second of these watches I bought. The first I bought at Walmart at least 2 years ago. I only bought another one because the battery died in the first and it was a bit scuffed from wear and tear. I love that the watch keeps itself set from a radio signal. I have the perfect place to leave it at night to pick up the signal. It makes the time coincide with the time on my cell phone, computer, etc. It has large, easy to read numbers and also the day of the week. The only problem I've had with this one is the bit of plastic at the end of the strap has come loose. I think a little superglue will fix it though.

This watch was perfect. I took a trip at the end of June to another time zone and updating to that time zone was not difficult. Switching back was also easy. It is nice to have a watch that keeps perfect time. I don't need the other features on the watch at this time but they are there if I should ever want to use them.I ordered it and it arrived in just a few days. |
