Product Description

This timing belt is a two-sided synchronous belt for drives requiring exact timing. It is made of neoprene rubber for high tensile strength and resistance to abrasion, and it is fiberglass-reinforced for stability and resistance to elongation. It has a nylon tooth facing for resistance to wear. It is two-sided for reverse rotation of one or more synchronized pulleys. This synchronous belt is suitable for use in computers, office equipment, business machines, and other light duty applications.

Synchronous belts (also known as timing belts) have teeth on the underside of the belt that join with the grooves in a rotating pulley to transmit power at a constant speed without slippage. They are made of compounded rubber and are reinforced lengthwise with fiberglass cords for added strength. The belts require minimal re-tensioning and maintenance, no lubrication, and provide quiet operation. Synchronous belts are used in industrial applications such as agriculture, textile manufacturing, mining, and printing machinery, and consumer applications such as office equipment, home appliances, and automobiles.
