5.0 out of 5 stars Smooth and drinkable
I'm a huge fan of K-Cup coffees. I have reviews for several, including other Timothy's roasts. The Kona Blend is one of my three favorites.

This roast isn't as dark as most would have you believe. It is relatively mellow, not burnt or harsh at all. It is pretty strong though, so if you're looking for a "good morning" caffeine buzz this is a good contender...

1.0 out of 5 stars The new 50 packaging is a deal but you get less coffee in each pod
I just ordered the 'new' 50 Kona Blend K-Cups. What a disappointment. It's very weak and obviously has less coffee in each pod.

I had a few left over from my old 24 count box, did the content measure and sure enough, less coffee in the pod. Shame on Timothy to pull this sort of tactic.

I'm a huge fan of K-Cup coffees. I have reviews for several, including other Timothy's roasts. The Kona Blend is one of my three favorites.

This roast isn't as dark as most would have you believe. It is relatively mellow, not burnt or harsh at all. It is pretty strong though, so if you're looking for a "good morning" caffeine buzz this is a good contender. Not as strong as something like Coffee People K-Cup Dark Roast, Extra Bold Jet Fuel for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) or Coffee People K-Cup Extra Bold Wake Up Call Bold for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) but those are much harsher coffees.

Note that if you've had 100% Kona coffee, this isn't the same. 100% Kona is very smooth and unique tasting but far more expensive than this. This K-Cup is a blend that comes somewhat close but not quite, but in my opinion is a good value. If you really want to experience 100% Kona, you can buy it from Amazon. If you get it in pods it's easier to use with a K-Cup machine, like the Aloha Island Coffee KONA-PODS - Medium Roast, 100% Pure Kona Coffee Pods, 36 Count Box.

Well worth the money. Buy a box!

Don't waste your money on this 'new' packaging and bargain. You definitely get what you paid for. I hope this isn't what's to come with all of their brands.

5.0 out of 5 stars As close to real Kona coffee as you will get without spending $50, November 10, 2009

Understand that this is NOT Kona coffee. Kona coffee, found in Hawaii, is very expensive. It's $55 a pound. It is unrivaled in taste and quality though, the very best. This is a KONA BLEND, with only 10% Kona beans. That being said, it has many of the desirable properties of pure kona coffee: a sweet, non-acidic, fantastic coffee taste that is not overly bitter. It's the best medium blend out there, and for the price, a must buy. This is simply the best coffee you will get in a Kuerig cup. This is not a dark roast however, so if that's what you are looking for, look for the Kona Extra Bold, not this one. So good it converted me to a black coffee drinker.

I've purchased this coffee before, but the recent batch is very dissappointing. Coffee tastes watered down despite the size of the cup selected on my Leurig. I will no longer order Timothy's World Coffee, Kona Blend.

I got this Kona from Timothy's and what a disappointment. I've gotten other brands of Kons and are much better. These are very weak so you must make small cups for any flavor.

I usually get the 50 count Coffee People Kona blend, but since Amazon has raised that price so high, I though I'd try this (it was less than $25 when I ordered it but now I see its price has gone up too). I can't believe how weak this coffee tastes. I will never get it again. I've had Timothy's Kona Blend before and it was never this weak. They must have put less coffee in the pods for this 50 count package.

2.0 out of 5 stars ok taste. defective cups., February 23, 2011
This review is from: Timothy's World Coffee, Kona Blend Medium K-Cups for Keurig Brewers (Pack of 50) (Grocery)
We lost about 10-12 k-cups out of a 50 cup box due to open lids & some of the k-cups would not fit into brewer correctly.
I guess we got a bad box. Coffee once brewed was just ok.
I will stick to my other brand.

Since buying the Keurig coffeemaker I've tried many flavors. The one that I keep coming back to is this one. Unbelievably smooth, low acid, and almost all the taste of real Kona coffee. For me, its the best of the K cup line. I don't usually like my coffee straight up. This one is the only one that I can drink without cream.

For me this makes a great 9.25 ounce cup. I would call it bold, but very smooth and is worth paying a few cents more for. So if you like very bold just use less water.
