5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Car C.D.!
This is a blow-out great C.D. for your car with the sound way up and the butt... kickin! It has all original music by name artists and it all fits this great sassy film, taking you back to all the fun. Costner must have some "in" to get so many stellar musicians to create so much great music, just for his movie!

I especially like the Theme song, "Little Bit is...

3.0 out of 5 stars Which artists are singing?
I just received my cd from Amazon and am disappointed because I am a fan of Doug Sahm who is listed for the cd according to Amazon but the Texas Tornadoes are listed on the CD. There are three other artists missing - the songs are there but the artists aren't! What to do? Has anyone else noticed this?

I especially like the Theme song, "Little Bit is Better than Nada" (even my l8 year old sings along!). You can just see that little "bug" picking up the golf balls on the driving range!. The Patty Loveless song, "Where Are You Boy",is a dance on wheels, James House's song, "Every Minute, Every Hour", makes me sway in my seat with the syncopated rhythms, singing along and "Big Stick" (Swingin in the dirt) is the one I really enjoy as I am driving the lakes here in the North Woods. So much fun! Takes the blues away. So much great music, all new, that it amazes me every time I listen to it.

I highly recommend it if you can crank it up and get loose! It will make you want to pull out the film and watch it all over again, I guarantee!

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific collection of songs, March 21, 2001
This review is from: Tin Cup: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
I have never seen this movie, so cannot rate this album on how it fares with the film. But I do know that each and every song on this album is a good song. A great mix of country, rock and blues, featuring artists like Bruce Hornsby, Amanda Marshall, Mary Chapin Carpenter and George Jones, among others, there is practically something for everybody here. Anyone who enjoys good toe-tapping music will love this album. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars On The Road, September 1, 2000

A couple of weeks ago when my holiday was over,I had to return home alone driving 15 hours or more.I listened to this great album 15 times on the road and never got bored with the melodies. I like country/blues but I never thought that I would enjoy to listen to the songs over and over again in a soundtrack album!A great work!

I've watched the movie once, but listened to the soundtrack mucho times.

I'd say the movie was ok, not terrific, nor average, but not exceptional. However, the music from artists most of whom I'd never heard is now music I truly enjoy.

The last three tracks are the best coupled with the first from the Texas Tornados --- "Double Bogy Blues" "Character Flaw" and "Every Minute, Every Hous, Every Day."

This album scored an eagle with me.

This album kicks! Each song on this compilation brings out the feel of the movie's scene it was in. It's a roller coaster of moods, pitches and swings (pardon the puns) that made the movie a near-legend. Even if you don't care for country music, you'll appreciate these pieces. A recommended buy for anyone who loved the movie.

1.0 out of 5 stars DVD instead of Audio CD, February 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tin Cup (Audio CD)
So far I've made 4 orders with Amazon and they have screwed up 3. I ordered the Audio soundtrack for Tin Cup and got the DVD movie. I ordered a 2 Disc Audio CD set of the Righteous Brothers and received only Disc 2. I ordered Elvis Top Ten Hits (another 2 CD set) and Received Disc 1 only. They have refunded my money on each ocurrence...but what good is that when you want the item. My advice is don't use Amazon, go to Ebay

I got this CD really just for one song, but I've ended up liking most of them in any case. It's a nice addition to my music library, and I'm glad I bought it.
