Frayn got it right about computers for writers...in 1965,
By Jessica Weissman "poet and computer programmer" (Silver Spring, MD USA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Tin Men (Hardcover)
This is one of the earliest depictions of computers as a force in journalism and writing. Amazingly, Frayn got it close to right in detail. But what matters is how funny and insightful he is about how the coming of computers shakes up a workplace and an industry. Grab a copy if you ever see one! |
