Tina Turner turns 70 in November this year. Keep that in mind when you watch this show. To have energy like that, not to mention LOOK the way she looks at that age, it's amazing. Vocally, she's in fine form, hitting surprisingly high notes, and alwyas with her signature power and soulfull growl. Nobody works a stage and audience like Tina Turner. She has a relaxed, one-on-one rapport with her audience that's wonderful to see. The picture is crisp, with great definition, that helps make how she looks all the more amazing. The audio is wonderful, and blasts right out of my speakers. The CD that comes in this set is fantastic, as it is the audio of the same show on the DVD. Live albums, by most artists, can be dicey things. Not everyone sounds great live, in fact you really don't want to hear some artists' attempt a live album nowadays, as they rely on every trick the studio can come up with. Not Tina. Her live shows have always been legendary, and her Live In Europe album is incredible. All in all, this set is fantastic, and the price is perfect. Likely, this will be Ms Turners last go around on the tour circuit, so get this and be captured by her magical presence once again.

I purchased this today from another local discount store for $13.88. The two disc set included the CD and the DVD. Both disks are in a standard two disk CD jewel case. The DVD is actually the filmed concert, not just DVD audio. Soundtrack on the DVD is DD 2.0, 5.1, and DTS 5.1. If your a Tina fan you'll more than likely love the DVD. Looks and sounds great on my home theatre system upcoverted to 1080p/60. The reverb is a little much probably due to the big hall it was filmed in. I haven't played the CD yet but will probably be added to my SUV collection and ipod. I admit I'm a die hard Tina fan and would have purchased this reguardless. All the typical Tina energy is there which is amazing at her age of 70 next month.

Tina: Live! is a MUST HAVE CD/DVD.

DVD/Concert Review: The concert was just fantastic. The Steamy Windows opening was SUPER!!; it will make the audience get on their feet!! (I know I did & I just watched it from the DVD since Asia was not part of the Tour). I especially love her performances of Steamy Windows, Acid Queen, Better Be Good To Me (with Stacy Campbell), What's Love Got To Do With It, It's Only Rock 'N Roll (with Lisa Fischer), The Best, Proud Mary, Nutbush City Limits, & Be Tender With Me Baby.

It's nice to see that a lot of her 24/7 band/production members were present for her 50th Anniversary Tour. Starting with the backing vocals (Stacy Campbell & Lisa Fisher - both of whom complement Ms. Turner's voice very well), the dancers (Clare Turton & Solange Guenier), & the musicians (Ollie Marland, Joel Campbell, Euge Groove, Jack Bruno, Warren McRae, & last but certainly not the least, John Miles). It feels like they're a family - reuniting after the 24/7 Tour & the chemistry is still perfect. Of course, the newcomers were also welcome :)

The great thing about her 50th Anniversary Tour is that Ms. Turner still able to perform at such high energy. Had it not been publicly known, I would not have guessed she was performing at the age of 69. This, coupled with her unbelievable talent makes this Tour very special. Also, it's really nice to see familiar faces (from the talent & the audience!!). The concert was OUTSTANDING all throughout. I give it 5 stars!!

CD Review: Not all artists can perform well live. Ms. Turner is one of the "rare" ones that really sounds PHENOMENAL live. The quality of the music from the accompanying CD is superb. Although the song selection is different, the CD from this Tour is better than her Live In Europe album (my favorite live album of all time prior to this CD's release). I just wish that the other songs in the concert were also included (Typical Male, Acid Queen, Help!, Undercover Agent For The Blues, I Can't Stand The Rain, & Be Tender With Me Baby were excluded from the CD). Still, I give the live CD 5 stars - the quality of Ms. Turner's performance more than outweighs the "minor imperfections".

This CD/DVD shows why Ms. Turner is able to stay at the top of the music business... she's SIMPLY THE BEST. I don't know with the rest of you, but Ms. Turner is MY QUEEN OF MUSIC.

Having seen the Tina Live concert on several occasions, I can tell you that the DVD version is as good as the concert - if not better ! This offers the benefits of varying camera angles and closeups of Tina, the dancers and musicians in a way that enhances the experience. One more reminder that Tina Turner in concert is as good as it gets.

Just ordered the dvd/cd combo. Can't wait for it to get here. Glad to hear that nothing was cut out of the concert. Have seen her six times on her last tour and wouldn't want to miss a single detail of the performance. I know that quality won't be an issue, since previous concert dvd's were all great for sound and picture.
I think this is a must-have for all music lovers and a good lesson in show(wo)manship for any performer.

I'm proud to add this Tina Turner Concert DVD to my collection. I was fortunate enough to see her at the Sandstone Ampitheatre outside Kansas City during her "Wildest Dreams" tour in 1996 or '97 I believe. I'll never forget it. I then collected her Live at Wembley one last time concert DVD. I had heard snippets about her doing another tour but then saw through this website she had another concert on DVD and was excited to get it. It doesn't disappoint!!

Some may disagree, but I think "Steamy Windows" is the best concert opener she's done-the opening beat and guitar riff was adrenaline pumping and seeing her slowly come down on the platform dressed in sparkling black and raring to go was great. Also, this is not a stadium setting, but I liked it that way. It has more of an intimate close setting to it and the change in regular view to live view brings the concert more to life.

Just my opinion too is that this is the best song selection she's done. I liked the inclusion of "Typical Male", "What You Get Is What You See", and "Jumpin' Jack Flash". I loved she included the powerful ballad rendition of the Beatle's "Help" and the bluesy "Undercover Agent For The Blues". One of my favorites is "Addicted To Love" and I'm thrilled I finally have a version of Tina's on CD now as well, although the tempo was slowed down a bit for this concert.

This leads me to some noting that Tina does "slow down" for this concert. I did notice it and agree it has to do with the limited stage area and Tina's age, BUT still, once I got used to that, I was still just amazed at what she could do. Some may not be able to adjust to that, but she was turning 69 when she did this concert. I wish I had that energy!!

I loved her costumes in this concert. The sparkling black blouse-short slacks in the opener was great. The red flowing cape over the red dress that starts "Acid Queen" was eye capturing. She even dons an evening gown for a number which was a surprise for wow, did she look great. Ok, so the blonde wig and costume for "We Don't Need Another Hero" distracted me a bit, but still I liked the instrumentation better in this concert. The dancers, band, sound and picture quality-excellent.

I'm with the Tina Turner fans who are happy to not only have this latest concert, but also the accompanying CD! I wish the entire song list would have been included, but oh well... Almost all the high point songs are included.

In closing, the only downturn for me was a bit of sadness for in Tina's last song "Be Tender With Me Baby", observing her and her gaze at the audience when the song was ending really struck me as a "goodbye", especially her last look at the audience. It was like she's saying "It's time to say goodbye, but thanks for being there for me and it'll be ok". Maybe I'm wrong, who knows.

In any case, she's been one of the most generous artists in having no problem releasing her concerts on DVD. She's very good to her fans and I'm proud to say I'm one of them.

Another GREAT DVD CONCERT from Tina Turner!!e It is the exact playlist from the actual concert! I went to see this particular show 13 times, and now I will never forget it! Although being there is definately better than watching on TV!! Tina gives out the same energy she did 20 years ago, and don't forget she is 69 years old in this performance!!! She defies the laws of nature!!!! Buy this dvd - you won't be disappointed!!!!!

With the release of this DVD/CD Tina confirms she is the undisputed Queen of rock. At nearly age 70, Tina's voice, beauty, stage presence, energy, and of course legs, put other performers to shame who are not even half her age. I had the privilege of attending a concert from this 2009 tour and was blown away by hearing Tina's powerful voice rip through hit after hit from her glorious 50-year reign in the brutal music industry. This DVD captures the energy and spectacle of the concert admirably, and the live CD is a nice bonus souvenir. The one thing the DVD is lacking is extras...all you get is the concert. For longtime Tina fans there are little surprises, since this functions as essentially a greatest hits concert, with some of her stage sets and performances virtually identical to previous concert DVD's such as "Wildest Dreams" and "24/7." Still, the viewer does not get the sense that Tina is simply going through the motions...in fact, she seems to have more energy and look even younger than she did in her 2000 tour, when she was 60. Overall, an oustanding show worth owning and revisiting.

All I can say is AWESOME!!!!! You would never ever believe that Tina is 70 years old! She is better looking and has more energy that someone half her age! Get this CD/DVD combo if you are a Tina Fan...you will not regret it at all!!!

I just got this today and thought it was great! Tina looked good and WOW I hope that when i am 70 i can look that good and have that much energy.
If you are a Tina fan this is must have, since this will be the last for sure this time.
