This review is from: Tinnemaha Creek (Paperback)
This story illustrates new understandings that researchers have about cougars. It also is an entertaining story written well enough to give you a real sense of place and the characters involved. The author delicately handled issues with wildlife and ranchers, giving voice to all the sides of some hot issues without pandering to one side or the other too much. I liked that he stuck to facts when describing the lives of cougars while making the story readable and entertaining. The characters he paints for us might seem a little extreme, but since I live in a small town where meetings on wildlife management are still as contentious the ones in this story, I knew the author was not exaggerating. I hope to see more from this author.
