Tintal Laharas,

This review is from: Tintal Laharas (Nagma): For Tabla Practice and Performance (C#) (Audio CD)
For somebody learning the tabla this recording is perfect. There are machines to buy to help with practice but they are so expensive. This reasonably priced CD is perfect for the beginner. I also recommend David Courtneys book for beginners Tabla.
He is a wonderful pedagogue and clarifies a lot of questions and problems that students have in the beginning.

I got this set of CDs few mos ago, and I have using them to time myself playing different Kayda's. Its really handy when you don't have anyone playing a keyboard. The Lahras are recoded with different BPMs, which is also helpfule for you to practice timing. If you are learning to play, you should get the CDs.
