Easy to use, doesn't really work for pysanky eggs,

I actually bought this dye to use when making pysanky eggs as I'd read that it would work for dying eggs their final color, a rich smooth black. Alas, it didn't really work - the eggs were more of a purple with dark streaks. But since that's not a recommended use (Tintex is supposed to be a fabric dye) I'm not upset that it didn't work. I have made MUCH more expensive mistakes!
Given the way that it dyed my hands when I splattered and my tabletop where I dripped, I'm sure that it would work well when dying other, non-egg things. :) |
