I dyed a white cotton t-shirt Royal Blue and the color turned out great. The instructions were clear and simple. They include instructions for dying by hand or in the washing machine (I did it by hand). However, it will not work dying nylon (I was not aware of this and tried to dye some little girls tights. They turned out an interesting shade of purple).
