Book Description

March 15, 2010
Let’s face it, who has the time or inclination to topple a government these days? With daily obligations like video games and heavy drinking, it’s hard to find the time to even get a parking ticket overturned. Never fear, there are hundreds of ways to revolt against the tedium of everyday life. Whether it’s making rude gestures to a hotel clerk under the desk or making your own "Do Not Disturb" sign that says "Come In If You Like Swordplay," Rich Fulcher's inventive collection will allow readers to unleash their rebellious sides—without getting arrested. Other tiny acts include unbuckling your seat belt before the plane has fully stopped, squeezing a zit into the ATM camera, driving through a lonely red light in the dead of night, wearing a French Renaissance outfit on casual Fridays, and greeting a stranger with a limp, well-lotioned hand. Featuring original illustrations by Mr. Bingo, the illustrator of The Book of General Ignorance whose clients have included Absolut, New York Times, Nike, and Suicide Girls; and designed by Dave Brown, also known as Bollo the gorilla in The Mighty Boosh and designer of The Mighty Book of Boosh.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warning-this book is hysterical! October 15, 2009
Format:Paperback
I couldn't wait for this book's release and had to order it from Amazon UK since it's not released in the US! It's the funniest thing I've ever read! I nearly pissed myself reading just the exerpts! Get this book if you don't already have it....for rainy day reading and to help get you jump-started on performing tiny acts of rebellion yourself. Join author Rich Fulcher on his quest for sticking it to the man. It's great good harmless fun. The book has many ways of acting rebellious complete with tick boxes to keep track of acts you may have tried, successfully or otherwise. This book will also help inspire you to think of your own tiny acts to rebel against. Share this book with all your friends. The illustrations are genious. I warn you however about reading this book in a public place. It might be quite embarrassing laughing out loud in certain places, and wetting your trousers from laughter is indeed a VERY embarrassing act in itself. Get the book. NOW! What are you waiting for?!

P.S. Rich Fulcher is an absolute GENIOUS!

5.0 out of 5 stars An important addition to the Western canon June 25, 2010
Format:Paperback
When I read this book I laughed. I cried. I got arrested. In my holding cell, I met a fine young man named Defcon who went by the name Key Chain. I shared this book with him (for some reason the cops let me keep the book yet made me give up my shoelaces and underwear), and together we laughed and cried and then laughed again. We fell in love, there in that holding cell, bonding over Tiny Acts of Rebellion by Rich Fulcher. Months later, when we were both sprung, we went straight back to the courthouse to get married. Soon after, we had four kids, who were each promptly removed by child services from our condemned, feral cat-infested studio apartment within hours of their individual births. Key Chain and I are still extremely happy together to this very day. So, I absolutely cannot recommend this book highly enough. Dreams can come true!

Got the book over in the UK after seeing Rich live. Too funny!
Just the right size bits for toilet reading. Or take it on a plane and have the other passengers look at you funny for laughing out loud!

3.0 out of 5 stars Rebellion for chickens May 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I quite enjoyed this, a few pages at a time as a break from a book I am struggling to finish.  I confess to being too chicken to live out most of my rebellious fantasies so Mr. Fulcher has given me a few tiny acts I might accomplish.  Who knows? Perhaps I will build up my courage and one day perform a humungous act of rebellion!  In fact, he has offered up 97 chances to rebel.  Most of them are pretty silly, such as flipping someone off under the table or behind your menu.  But then, that's what makes them doable in my case.  There is a little too  much bathroom humor for me.  Although, there have been times when I have seen a cranky clerk refuse the use of a bathroom to a child and I may have encouraged said child to just go ahead and throw up there on the counter.

One tiny act is to see how many extra items you are willing to go through the 10 items or less line with.  Or for you grammarians, 10 items or fewer.  Oh wait, that still is not a sentence.  Anyway, my preference in that situation as I am counting out the items is to get to 10 and tell the clerk I will put the rest back.  They always say no it's ok, but my revenge is to leave the items there.  BUT......my favorite tiny act happens when a clerk has failed to remove the alarm setter-offer-thingie from an item I have bought and the alarm goes off as I walk through the sensors. I start running to see if they can catch me.  That's always fun.  Well, for me  anyway.

Fulcher also has some good ideas for sticker bombing, one of my favorite activities. (Be sure to buy stickers that are easily removable.  But then I guess what would be the point.)  He suggests rebelling against poor products by going back to the store and putting stickers on toaster boxes stating things like "This toaster has a faulty....." whatever.

The genius behind Bob Fossil in a solo performance.
Loved it, and the whole family was inspired to create several acts of our own.
For example, when excusing yourself in a restaurant, instead of saying, "Be right back" say "I'll be back in about twenty minutes." Surprised looks will follow!

5.0 out of 5 stars Orgasm for the eyes! July 12, 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is better than a satanic bible! I was laughing out loud so hard I woke up my girlfriend when I read it in bed. Bobby Bob Bob is a comic genius. I would most definitely recommend this book. It's an easy read (which, lets me honest, most mighty boosh fans need) and it's hysterical! There is even a little box to check on each page when you've done your tiny act of rebellion! LOVE IT!
