One of the highlights of mid-to-late 80's pop, Scruffy the Cat took the jangle-guitar pop of the Del Fuegos and Hooters and turned it into something to behold. With sharp writing and incredible licks, this is an album in the true sense of the word - one you can listen to from beginning to end and back again. 'My Baby (She's Alright)' was a huge hit on college radio. With lyrics like "She's a long, tall drink of water/Badder than Bo-Didley and his electric guitar", how could you miss? The song gained a little MTV alternative airplay, but it was just one of many that could have been on this record. 'Shadow Boy', 'Never, Never' and 'Time Never Forgets' all could have been hits, and the rest of the album is pure listening pleasure. Roll down the windows, turn the roof back, drive and enjoy!
