Editorial Reviews

It's a setup; A murdered wife, a jealous husband, a jilted lover and a frightened friend; all in the same apartment at the same time. Three of them set aside their bitter differences and better judgment in the hope of earning a $10 million payday. When washed-up artist Michael Taylor discovers his wife murdered in the upstairs bedroom of their swanky loft, the decision about what to do doesn't come easy, because downstairs, an impromptu dinner party is under way for two wealthy patrons interested in purchasing Michael's art. He convinces Martin, his dead wife's dedicated assistant, and Dominick, his young, sexy artist protégé and his wife's ex-lover, to keep quiet and close the deal. Despite their uncertainty about each other's motives-and the paranoia over who the killer is - they form a fragile alliance to shut up, against a promise of a big pay off. They soon find out, however, that this is much easier said than done...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful and great story and dialog November 25, 2013
Format:Amazon Instant Video
I liked it a lot, newbies doing an updated sort of Hitchcock- very very good stuff it has the weaving plot line and more than one unveiled surprise and some lesbianism - which Hitch snuck at the audience often- although his was more subtle than the ending of this movie which has a very nicely done lesbian sex scene. Just when I thought I got it figured- i.e. there really was a body upstairs- I was surprised again. however there Really WAS a body upstairs.... You will either really like this or really not. They need more experience, but this was great and I think Hitch would have liked it. The "Painted Veil" a little book on art by Thomas Wolf or Woolf was about this stuff. And I know the truths behind it; the selling art with a kind of show. But think about who the murderers are in this movie. As in a Hitchcock, some of it was well planned. I really liked the dialog and I am going to give it 5 stars to pump it up against those who just do not get it. I close to loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars cool, sexy urban noir February 18, 2011
By pmm54
This is a hot flick. Artistic, but it moves very quickly with a lot of rapid-fire dialog and a couple of wild twists. Watched it multiple times to catch all the snappy dialog and great shots -- will definitely look for the next one these guys put together.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fight Night.. November 24, 2012
By Mary M
If you want to see a bunch of unhappy people fighting with each other for various narcissistic reasons this one is just the ticket. It certainly didn't remind me of Hitchcock, and it surely is NOT classic Noir. I freely admit I bailed less than half way through and rapidly put the thing back in the Netflix envelope...Godspeed!
