Tiny Love Nature's Serenade Mobile

I purchased the Nature Soothing Serenade Mobile when my son was 3 months old. Though he loves staring at the blue glowing light and the characters, it does keep him awake. The characters are attached to plastic bead-like pieces that slide around and they make a semi-loud clicking noise when the mobile turns. The little turtle and lady bug in the middle that wiggles up and down in a zigzag motion are the loudest pieces. My son loves to stare at it during "Crib Time" when he just plays and talks to himself for a little while but when it's time for bed he whines and covers his face with a blanket because he can't sleep because of all the noise. I took colorful pipe cleaners and wrapped them in certain places to keep the noise down. Otherwise this is an amazing mobile. The music is beautiful and the songs are long. It comes with a remote that hangs on the door (only repeats the same song played before, doesn't change the song, you have to change it yourself on the mobile's base), the characters are colorful and friendly looking. I would have gotten another mobile because my son is easily entertained, but it has brought him many smiles and "Oohs" so I am happy with the purchase. I took one star off for it being noisy. I hate to have to give this mobile a 1-star rating as I'm sure my baby would love it... If it fit on the crib! I have a convertible crib and apparently it has abnormally thick rails because this mobile doesn't even come close to fitting. The space between the top of the music box and the screw that holds it in is about an inch and a half short of getting around the rail. It's so disappointing as I borrowed a Tiny Love mobile from a friend that has a completely different mount and it fits fine. Why the change? A big mistake as otherwise I wouldn't have to return this mobile.

I ordered this mobile because the title said "soothing". It also looked beautiful on the website. It arrived and there are lots of things going on. Ladybugs slide down with a turtle. It has a bright but sort of soothing light. The shapes make plasticky clicky sounds when the mobile turns on its tilted axis. It does not rotate flat like most mobiles do. It is very cute, but did not soothe my baby. My ten week old looked at it and didnt smile at it. The following day I ordered the Fisher Price Rainforest one. I couldnt decide between Fisher Price and the Sweet Island Dreams. Well, my little one fell asleep with the Fisher Price one and during the day, smiled at the characters. I think I actually like the Serenade one more, but my little guy likes the Fisher Price one more. :)
I ordered this mobile because the title said Soothing Serenade. When I went to Tiny Love's website the name is actually Natures Serenade which is actually very noisy!! lol. If you want baby to stay up and perhaps entertain him for a while,...get this one.

I had another mobile from tiny love and my baby loved it and since we have upstairs and downstairs beds for him, we needed two mobiles. He still gets excited every time I turn it on for him and it does entertain him for the 20 minutes that the timer is on for. But do not expect to have the mobile put your lil one to sleep, there is just way too much going on to sooth them. It is more to be used for entertainment than soothing. If you want a soothing one go for the Sweet Island Dreams!

Our son loves his mobile! We purchased it when he was about 2 months old, and he is still into it at month 6. He very carefully watches zigzagging lady bug and the turtle, and rotating hippo, flamingo, and frog... I did not see any other mobile as stimulating - and we did look at quite a few. And personally, I like the tunes and the color of the mobile - music sounds great, and the colors are very pleasant. I highly recommend this.

My daughter absolutely adores this mobile-it got her very first laugh! It's very pretty to look at, but really the best part is the audio quality, unlike other toys that have a tinny off key sound, this mobile sounds fantastic. I highly recommend this mobile!

My son does really love this mobile. He will watch it for 20 minutes at a time (which is good for him). The only down side, although I know it may be viewed positively, is that there are two little bugs that fall in a wiggly pattern with gravity. They are just a little startling and a little too loud to have the mobile be relaxing at all. My husband and I just got some duct tape to put on the top side of them to keep them from sliding down when we are having quite time. It isn't really a big deal.

My wife and I absolutely LOVED this mobile when we found it online. The Tiny Love website even has a demo that shows how unique this mobile is compared to all the other mobiles on the market. We were sold, and we bought one.

We we received the shipment, I installed the mobile on our baby's crib, and we were enraptured by the amazing features of this mobile, from the beautiful music and nature sounds to the glowing light mode to the many interesting motions of the animals, bugs, and geometric shapes on the mobile. I found myself in a trance just watching it (I wished for a moment that they made an adult-sized version to put over our king-size bed).

Now the bad news. About 2 months after installing it, but before our baby was born, I discovered that the mobile was very wobbly on the crib railing. I figured I would just crank the knob on the attachment bracket to tighten it down more. This did two things. First, it damaged our brand new wooden crib by permanently marring the finish and denting the wood in several places. Second, it caused the bracket to bend (it is made of hard plastic). Still, the mobile was not secure enough for our peace of mind on the crib. Hence, we have world's most beautiful and incredibly mesmerizing mobile, yet it is rendered completely useless, as we cannot mount it on our crib. We do not have an odd crib by any stretch. It is a brand new crib we bought from JC Penney, and it is very similar to many other wooden cribs found at Babies R Us and elsewhere. I see that some of the other Tiny Love mobiles have a different looking mount. I am very disappointed that they tried to improve on their past mount design, as this mount will not work for us. I am so bummed out that this incredible mobile will not be usable for our baby. Even worse, it is too late to return the mobile for a refund.

If you are thinking about buying this mobile, think twice. If it doesn't fit on your baby's crib, you could find yourself in the same predicament as us. At the very least, mount it immediately to see if it fits. If it does not, hopefully you will still be able to get a refund.

our 5 month old son loves this mobile! as a musician, i have to say the music options are terrible and we never never use them, but he enjoys even just looking at it and definitely loves it when it moves. worth the expense. :)

If you need those few minutes of peace- baby will be fascinated by all the movement and sound. Guess it's not for light sleepers but my baby had it from the very beginning and easily fell asleep with it on. The remote is a nice touch for us lazies who don't want to get out of bed to switch it on or off.
