2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing lack of variety, September 22, 2005

Being a paper airplane nut since my Dad showed me how to fold my first one, I was ecstatic when I first saw this calendar. I grabbed it and purchased it, ignoring even my normal cursory product research (i.e., I didn't read the label). Turns out that, while there are 365 pages to this calendar, there are only 6 different airplane designs.

So more accurately, you get 6 airplane designs, repeated 60 times each throughout the year. All of the 60 repeats have a different paint job, but it's still the same aircraft design, same folds. Instead of lasting me a year, it will only last me about a month until I'm tired of those particular airplanes. Sigh. I will read more carefully next time, depite overwhelming enthusiasm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun!, December 19, 2005

First things first: No, this is not 365 entirely different paper airplane designs. It is 365 graphic designs, and each day of the week folds into a different airplane. (All Monday airplanes are the same design, all Tuesday are the same design--but a different design from Monday, and so on.) I am not sure why this is such a sticking point, but apparently people are very upset. Whatever.

These airplanes are particularly fun at the end of the year, in a cubicle-style office, as you and your co-workers send out bombing raids with a Post-It sized air force. They also do sterling service as cat toys; my cats love to hunt and "kill" these strange little birds.

I was always making planes out of typing paper for my kids to fly. When I saw your product, I just had to have it. The kids love to make airplanes from your calendar and couldn't be happier. A great product for kids.
