Tiny Snail's compelling journey will help children learn lessons about courage, perserverance, and gratitude. Tiny wants to live under the Maple Tree, but she cannot travel the distance in one night. Armed only with her friends' advice, Tiny crawls into a land with no shade. She battles sun, rain, and mud. By the time she reaches the top of the hill, she has attained more than her goal: she has learned to be thankful. Final four pages weave together story with educational material about snails. An enlightening book for all ages.
For more than a decade Tammy Carter Bronson has travelled across the country inspiring children to be dedicated readers and better writers. When Mrs. Bronson is not traveling as a professional speaker, she lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she writes and illustrates her picture books. Her first three books (TINY SNAIL, KALEIDONOTES, and POLLIWOG) were rendered as colored pencil collages over watercolor washes, but the vast majority of pictures in "SEA HORSE, RUN!" were painted using a dry-brush watercolor technique. "SEA HORSE, RUN!" is her fourth book, and it is the winner of the 2011 Next Generation Indie Book Award for Best Children's Picture Book. In her spare time Mrs. Bronson composes YA historical fiction and shares her humble abode with her husband, several thousand books, two dogs, and cat.
