More About the Author

For more than a decade Tammy Carter Bronson has travelled across the country inspiring children to be dedicated readers and better writers. When Mrs. Bronson is not traveling as a professional speaker, she lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she writes and illustrates her picture books. Her first three books (TINY SNAIL, KALEIDONOTES, and POLLIWOG) were rendered as colored pencil collages over watercolor washes, but the vast majority of pictures in "SEA HORSE, RUN!" were painted using a dry-brush watercolor technique. "SEA HORSE, RUN!" is her fourth book, and it is the winner of the 2011 Next Generation Indie Book Award for Best Children's Picture Book. In her spare time Mrs. Bronson composes YA historical fiction and shares her humble abode with her husband, several thousand books, two dogs, and cat.

5.0 out of 5 stars The endearing picturebook story of a little snail, February 4, 2002
This review is from: Tiny Snail (Hardcover)
Tiny Snail written and illustrated by Tammy Carter Bronson, is the endearing picturebook story of a little snail who wants more than anything to live under the Maple Tree. But she can't reach it in one night - to achieve her dream, she must crawl into a land with no shade, filled with dangers. Highly recommended for school and community library collections, the last four pages of this simple story contain basic facts about real snails, for beginning readers with questing minds.
