Colors so bright and vivid they jump off the page. Melanie tells a story that reminds us that change although sometimes hard to accept can turn out for the best. A wonderful story that excites the senses and teaches a lesson.

Or, the town of many colors,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Tiny Town (Hardcover)
Another favorite of my girls, once they outgrew "Where do Falling Stars Go?. This delightful book, with it's beautiful watercolor illustrations, is sure to charm you and your children. Once again, Miss Melanie uses verse that involves the reader and keeps them wondering what will happen next. This enjoyable story, with heroine Tess, helps children realize that we are all unique - and that change is good! This is a fun story that your children will delight in for many nights of bedtime stories.

The Tiny Town: A Bright, Happy Place for Children,
By Heather Sambdman (San Francisco, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Tiny Town (Hardcover)
The Tiny Town is a colorful adventure that introduces the reader to a wonderful, small town in the mountains. During your visit to Tiny Town, you discover a variety of cheerful, descriptive colors. You will also meet the painter who put all of his heart into creating these colors. The master painter and the town people love the beautiful colors. One day, their lives are changed with an act of Mother Nature. When faced with adversity, one small child's simple statement of truth causes the scales to fall from the town people's eyes. Suddenly, they appreciate the beauty they could not see. This is a fun, easy to read book. The pictures give a bright, vivid description of a friendly, inviting town. Simplicity is it's true charm. |
