5.0 out of 5 stars Nice addition to the a-5
I got the a-5 with flatline barrel, and this stock. It gives it a great feel and increased control. Make sure you get a coiled remote though because the tank will be in the way (and also unbalance the marker). For anyone new to paintball, don't use this for speedball (I wouldn't anyway) as you would have much better luck with a smaller auto-cocker. If your into...

1.0 out of 5 stars Piece of JUNK!
I recently put one on my A-5 and after one day of shooting the pin joints busted off the stock. I ordered another one off amazon and figuring my original one was a bunk stock and I recieved it today... I put it on, fired maybe 20 shots before the joints blew again!!! I even had my air turned down really low.
This thing looks good but its a waste of money.

For anyone new to paintball, don't use this for speedball (I wouldn't anyway) as you would have much better luck with a smaller auto-cocker. If your into scenario games and having a distinct advantage over the other team with better accuracy (especially with the flatline) then you'll love this.

2.0 out of 5 stars you get what you pay for, September 13, 2009
I ordered this stock and it arrived in a timely matter. It was not a Tippman Stock like the ad leaves you to beleive. It fit the gun ok but it is kind of cheep. It doesnt match the gun. I should of realized it would be this quality for the low price. I will be buying the real one from Tippman.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tippmann A-5 Car stock, July 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Good quality for the price, it's not the best out there and takes some force to get it into the back of the gun, very functional for woodsball that I play, allows you to get a solid stream of paint going. The only downside is that it's hard to look down the stock rail with it but I dont really use it anyway, just follow the ball trail.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Purchase, April 28, 2010

I purchased this and have so far used it twice. I'm overall very satisfied with the purchase. - Light, sturdy and cheap. It accomplishes the task and for the price is a solid investment for any paintball gun. Yes, there is a bit of play between the stock and the bar but it's not enough to cause any issue and when it's all said and done this is a paintball marker, not a rifle. <Cons> - it's cheap. Plastic all around and a little bit of a pain to install because it's snug.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best butt for Tippmann A5, March 22, 2009
Very good add on for your A5, Playing woods ball my tank gets in my way so I decided to get a remote for it and this item. It is adjustable for anyone's size for comfort. Recommend it for anyone playing woods ball.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good stock, February 5, 2009

I have an A5 with a Flatline and this stock makes the marker look so dang cool. I am mostly a woodsballer and I use it full length when in the woods. If I'm rec balling I'll collapse it a bit to make it shorter. It is true that this stock does not allow you to look down the sights like a real rifle but THIS IS NOT A REAL RIFLE. I don't know why people are adamant about using laser and/or dot sights if what they are shooting is the least ballistic projectile ever shot. In other words, sights are useless on a paintball marker. If you put this up to your shoulder and sight down the side of the gun, you are fine. Having said that, if you have anything bigger than a 20 oz or a standard 48/3000 it will not clear this stock. You can remove the sling hook and it might help, but I have not removed mine. All in all, I really like this stock. It looks great, it's sturdy, it's functional, and it stabilizes your gun. Highly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice addition to the A-5, September 2, 2008
This review is from: TIPPMANN Collapsible Stock (Sports)
I have one of these on my A-5 and it's pretty handy. In tight quarters it's easy enough to collapse to make the marker shorter but still has enough there to tuck against your body. Sort of shootin' from the hip style.

Sure, it can interfere with the sights a bit if you don't have offsets...but then again...most paintball games are fast & furious. At least the ones I play, so getting a good bead on someone isn't all that likely anyway...

Still, it fit's great against the shoulder or body which can improve the handling. That's all good. Besides, it LOOKS cool. That IS reason enough to spend the money on this thing. ROFL What..? You bought an A-5 JUST because it's reliable & well made..? Hah! You got it because of all the cool things you can do to it. The fact that it's a GREAT marker is a bonus. You can't fool me! ;-) (I know that's the first thing I thought of: "Sure, it might work...but it looks so dang cool!")

So why 4 stars instead of 5? The first one I had (yep, the first one) had a flaw and it cracked. Actually it looked like an over tightened screw caused the problem. It was quickly replaced and I haven't had a problem since... But it does still make me pause once in a while. So I have no idea what sort of long term life it will have. Then again, it's relatively cheap and so as long as I don't have to replace it once a year or two I'll be very happy with it.

Get it, you know you want it! ;-)

4.0 out of 5 stars A good stock, July 26, 2008
This review is from: TIPPMANN Collapsible Stock (Sports)
This is a good stock for the Tippman A-5, especially if you run a remote line or if your's is like mine a drop forward. If you plan on having your cannister anywhere but the original position on the A-5, then this stock is a must have. It can be a little tricky to squeeze into the back but just use some of the oil you use to clean it and it'll pop right in.

Because it's adjustable, anyone can find a comfortable position. I'm 6'3 and use it at it's longest setting while my nephew who's only 4 feet uses it at the shortest setting.

I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because it does have a few disadvantages.
1. The stock will prevent you from using a scope or sight unless it is on an offset mount.
2. It is much trickier to remove than the regular cap so cleaning is a little harder.
3. It's heavy. Not very heavy, but when your a woodsballer every little bit counts, and this stock will just make your beastly A-5 even harder to lug around.

With that said I would recommend this stock to anyone.
