Broke while shooting!!!,
By
This review is from: Tippmann A5 Adjustable Car Stock (Misc.)
I thought this was a good deal when i first bought it but after a couple hours of shooting i went to shoot at my brother and the stock snapped and went flying across the room.. luckily i was holding the gun away from my body or it could have hurt me pretty bad. I don't think this stock is very safe and i would recommend the BT designs combat stock over this one.

I used this stock one time and after an hour of use it snapped where it connects to the gun. I would spend a little extra money to buy a more durable stock.

its barley worth the 15 bucks i paid. the gun wouldn't fire after i installed it because the hole where the pin and spring that holds the firing mechanism forward is drilled too deep. Easy fix though i just took a finishing nail the same diameter as the stock pin and cut the tip off so that it was 1/4" longer than the original pin then i De-burred it an the gun worked again. Then where the tube that butt of the stock slides on connects to the plug that is inserted into the gun the tube is threaded and has a machine screw that attaches the stock to the plug and there's a hand tighten type nut that stabilizes the stock and helps it not wobble so much. well the machine screw is put to close to the end of the tube so that the hand tightened nut can thread all the way off of the tube and just free spin and do no good. So i made a spacer by filing out the hole in a washer till it fit over the plug and then i ground it down so it didn't stick out to far then i filed the area on the tube where the machine screw goes so that the tube cant slip back then the nut is tightened. after i put it back together it feels a lot sturdier and doesn't look to bad. i can get pictures of what i did if you need them just leave a comment asking for them and ill send them to you. you can probably find a washer that would work without modification and if i had a lathe i could have made something even better but i didn't feel like buying a washer when i had one that almost fit in the garage and it didn't take that much time or "Finngenuity" to make. i also want to say that the service from Paintball Online was great and i don't hold this Chinese made stock against them.

If you value the safety of yourself and those around you, and the well being of your gun, DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP
The connection points snapped within literally, the first couple of shots fired (within 3 minutes of it's first use). The stock fell to the ground, along with my entire bolt assembly. Fortunately, I nor anyone else was injured from this accident, but I pray that every one else unfortunate enough to buy this stock experiences the same luck. DO NOT BUY THIS STOCK PLASTIC CONNECTION POINTS FAIL VERY EASILY LOOK ELSEWHERE LOOK FOR STOCKS WITH METAL CONNECTORS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT BUY THIS STOCK

I read these reviews and said to myself "oh this can not be that bad". Well this is. It came in a decent amount of time, but not not anything special. From the second I took it out of the box you can see how cheap this stock really is. The first thing you notice is that you need to force this stock into the pin position. It does not fit easily and i thought it was going to break during installation. Then I get to the game. I played 3 matches and the stock snapped where the bottom pin holds it in. It broke so easily it busted my spring that holds the firing pin. DO NOT BUT THIS PRODUCT!

The stock I got from Ultimate Paintball is a RAP4 product. It is designed for the Tippmann A5 and does work like it is supposed to. As one reviewer said, it has a lot of play between the stock and post it extends on. Not a big deal to me, but you get what you pay for. I actually did end up buying the GTA stock from a local paintball shop and the quality of it is much better.

Birthday present for Grandson. Broke first use. Seems like the attachment was really poor. Mounting brackets where stock attaches to gun very small.

Bought this new from Amazon. Received adjustable stock on Friday Aug. 5 2011 and used it the next day. It only lasted about 700 rounds, until the front of the stock that connects to the marker broke at two different locations. Lower mount where pin goes through broke in half, which caused upper mount to flex and crack. The price for this item is very reasonable, but the quality is also very cheap.
