Matt Harlan first came to my attention via a local NPR radio program called "Folk Salad" (KOSU). I had never heard him before but I was very impressed, enough so to search for a CD to buy. The song "Elizabethtown" reminded me of Walt Wilkins and I wanted to hear more. This is a CD for anyone who likes Texas singer/songwriter music. Excellent songwriting, great production work from Rich Brotherton (who has worked w/ Robert Earl Keen), "Tips & Compliments" is a high quality piece of work. I'm looking forward to what comes next from this guy.

I just got this CD and can't quit listening to it. Everything about it is fabulous --- the songs, the singing, the playing, the production, the artwork, all of it. This is my favorite new music in a long time. Will look forward to what Matt does next. Count me in ---This is a CD that you will enjoy for years --

True Masterpiece,

Don't want to bore you with details about how I knew about this man, live shows....This is a MUST HAVE album for the ones who love Texan Songwriters. Personally I'd place it between Townes/Earle and Hayes Carll/Ryan Bingham. Great and personal style, touching lyrics. In a word GREAT. 100% guaranteed! Ciao Matt, --talk to you soon.
