There is also a dissertation titled, 'For Better or Worse' which emphasizes the importance of the vows that the bridal couple is about to make and encourages the couple to adopt the motto, "We would rather fight than switch!" that Ruth Kern and her husband took over 35 years ago.

This book, like the first book Ms. Kern has written on dining etiquette, is a quick and easy way to learn etiquette, in this case for your wedding, and Americans like things that are 'quick and easy'!

There are over 350 tidbits of information that flow from the engagement to the reception. As with all etiquette "rules", some things may apply to you and some won't and you should definitely use this as a guide. My MAJOR problem (hence the low rating) is that you have no way of knowing when ordering (there's no picture or sample pages) that this is not a book but a pamphlet and since it costs $4 to return it is not worth the trouble on a $7 purchase. If what you're looking for is a travel-size reference guide then you might like it, unfortunately for me that's not what I was looking for. :{
