Tiptree, England is the home of the Wilkin family where they have farmed for nearly three hundred years. The very first Tiptree conserves were made there in 1885 and to this day they still specialize in fruit growing on the Tiptree estates.
Tiptree Lemon Curd is made from the juice of lemons which are procured overseas by the Wilkins's technical director of over forty years. His expertise in finding the very best lemons, which are then hand sorted at the factory, ensures that Tiptree Lemon Curd is the finest available.
Tiptree Lemon Curd is made with sugar, butter, lemon juice, egg yolks, whole egg, pectin and lemon oil. This zesty, cooked cream was traditionally served during Afternoon Tea spread onto scones however its uses are plenty.
Lemon Curd can be spread on toast, crumpets, English Muffins or pancakes. It can serve as a filling for cakes, trifles, tarts and even sandwich cookies. Mix with whipped cream and serve with berries. Lemon Curd is also a wonderfully flavorful addition to custards and ice creams as well.

This Lemon Curd is almost as good as my grandma makes. I found myself going to the fridge and just eating it straight out of the jar. I definitely think it is worth the money.

My Easter Savior,

This past Easter I decided to put an Easter basket together for my boyfriend. I wanted to put a bunch of goodies he loved inside. He absolutely loves lemon and anyhting lemon. I found this recipe for lemon burst cupcakes I knew he would love. Part of the recipe called for Lemon Curd. I had not a clue what this stuff was. I went to about 4 different places to find it. I googled it for hours and could not find it. It was about a week before Easter and I had nothing, until amazon. I found it on amazon and quickly ordered it up. I feared that it would not come in time,seeing as I only had a week. It came in no time. I had it days early and quickly went to baking. It was a hugh success. He oucldn't get them down fast enough. He now uses the lemon curd on everytjing. Thank you so much for making my Easter the best.
