This review is from: Tissot PRS516 T-Sport Automatic Gent's Watch (T044.430.21.041.00) (Watch)
Should know, I am totally biased in favor of these watches; own ~6 of them; say ~ since I've given two away as gifts including the 4-5 I also own. My watch-maker said to have them serviced each 5 years and they will be re-lubed and re-sealed and should serve one just as new. That has been true. That is my experience; these are completely mechanical movements so there is wear and tear for the movements, but all of mine have been well within new tolerance. If you can get a model year before the one here, shown, the 5 minute markers are shaped like an "L" and the leg of the "L" protrudes into the center of the face; seemingly floats from side of the bezel that has the minute markers on its surface. The model shown is a bit sleeker, but and does not have the above description of its face. I have both and they are elegantly designed watches. The clasp is unusual and is another great design; frankly it took me a whole day to figure out how to put it on with one hand when first getting it. And, I thought I was coordinated, too.

Review Tissot PRS516,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tissot PRS516 T-Sport Automatic Gent's Watch (T044.430.21.041.00) (Watch)
I bought the blue background version of the Tissot and its overall appearance is very attractive to me. Although the Amazon purchase experience has been flawless, this new Tissot watch PRS516 T-sport (T044.430.21.041.00) was a disappointment for three reasons. First, it gains one minute in five days (for its price (>$600), wouldn't we expect better accuracy?). Secondly, I have always appreciated the ingenious traditional design of the PRS516 or the PR516 (original design goes back to 1965) where the minute and second hands move BELOW the hour marks, not above as the rest of the watches. Well, for some reason, that elegant tradition has been omitted in this new model. Last, there are two size links which is not enough when fine-tuning your armband to your wrist. This is noticeable in hot days. One more thing: the main locking mechanism has two locking mechanisms instead of the common one in most other watches, so the probability of failures goes up.
