4.0 out of 5 stars A Titan to Remember
I had the pleasure of working with the players and coaches from that '71 Titans team while they were guests at the 2006 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, celebrating the 35th anniversary of that championship season. It was truly an honor to meet and spend time with all of them and to see the bonds and friendships that still exist after 35 years. I can only imagine what life...

I wasn't expecting much from the plain book cover, but was surprised by the content. Written simply, Lonergan captures the essence of the man and his mind over matter attitude. Some subjects just don't need much enhancing. Very inspirational!

I can only imagine what life was like during those difficult times, but I do know it had to take men of exceptional character and strength to pull them together and lead them thru it all.

Having met Coach "Doc" Hines, and now having read this book and getting a glimpse of the life behind the man, you can see how big a part of that team's success he was, both on and off the field, as well as shaping the lives of so many of his students with his "mind over matter" attitude. His daughter Paula has done a great job in capturing the spirit of the message her Dad brought to his players & students. A great read!!
