Book Description

March 2004
The book, Titanic Astrology: The Grand Design of a Famous Shipwreck is a completely new way of looking at the disaster. The "Grand Design" shows an amazing accumulation of paranormal and astrological events as they played out in the history of this event. For years it has been a fascination for so many with Titanic; most don’t really understand why, which includes the author in that number. Grimes’ fascination with this event led her to an extensive research project that helped her understand the bigger picture of the Titanic disaster.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing Emotional Content and Great Detective Work!, March 29, 2004
By
"astroque" (Clinton Township, MI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Titanic Astrology: The Grand Design of a Famous Shipwreck (Paperback)
This book emotionally moved me. Eileen Grimes' easy writing style and fascinating astrological research was an unusual reading pleasure to begin with, but finding myself hooked into the characters of those who lived the story of the Titanic's one and only voyage was an added surprise. This author creates a meaningful connection with the real people who first imagined, created, traveled on, survived/perished on, and even later retold in story, wrote, directed, or acted in various Titanic films. I came away feeling I'd had a skillfully guided magic carpet ride above the turn-of-the-century world in those exciting days of early shipping. Seeing an event such as the Titanic's launch and disaster astrologically expressed so clearly is riveting! It's a rare gift to see such detail so well organized. The author's final conclusions bear witness to a much bigger picture which we can apply to our culture today ("Don't drive So Fast towards the icebergs...") More such books, please, Eileen!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rekindled memories that...transcend time, September 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Titanic Astrology: The Grand Design of a Famous Shipwreck (Paperback)
As an astrologer...with a fated-to-this-issue April 14th birthday...this book hit closer to
memories I have NEVER thought to share with ANYONE. By virtue of her research alone, this book
is a classic study in synchronicity and the collective archetype of tragedy as a life-changing force
for personal and social dynamics. In astrological circles, this ought to be used as a template
for practical application of chart interpretation and interaction on life cycles.

And it hit home in that terrifying way that only a person who KNOWS this story in an impossible way
describes--for me, an awareness of the tragedy that hits in the deepest part of my soul. Eileen Grimes is
as much a forensic psychological detective as she is a superlative writer who easily straddles the
world of astrological terms with an easy-to-follow basic explanation for each idea she explains.
Definitely bring a box of tissues too; this is a love story of effort and loss too, both human and
mechanical. A toast of champagne and a moment of silence in respect for this book, the super(woman)
effort it took to gather and analyze the mountain of work required to write this, and the forgiveness
and healing words of comfort for those who were accountable for their role in the accident.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Stellar Achievement in Astrological Scholarship, April 6, 2004
By
LeAnn (Seattle, Washington) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Titanic Astrology: The Grand Design of a Famous Shipwreck (Paperback)
Eileen Grimes' Titanic Astrology is a stellar achievement that will hopefully herald a new era in astrological scholarship. She crafts the rare text that reveals a riveting tale of discovery and tragedy through the lens of in depth research. This story is as personal as it is personable, as easily accessible to those without astrological training as to those with substantial background in the field. Grimes constructs her narrative from a vast array of historical documentation and astrological charts for these events and the many individuals connected to the Titanic, either past or present. With passion and dedication, she discloses her highly credible theory of astrological markers as indicators for this historical disaster and for why it still remains so vivid in the imaginations of people today. Grimes has set a new standard of quality for investigative astrology and, in so doing, provided a blueprint for those who would follow on their own journeys of astrological excavation.
