1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this version.
My son and I were reading this book together. We were on the edge of our seat! When we got to page 58 the ship was beginning to sink, then the book skipped to page 91. There was a whole section missing. This was a new book and there was nothing missing from the spine of the book. I would recommend ording a different version if you don't want to be left hanging.......

This review is from: The Titanic Sinks! (Turtleback)
Fantastic Book! I read this book in 2 days! Pictures are great! It's not like those yucky fiction books, but instead it's non-fiction, it's how it really happened! I read this and thought it was great, and I gave it to my friend to read and he thought it was great to! I highly reccomend this book to anyone who enjoys history or Titanic!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, May 3, 1998

I am a student from China. I am in Shanghai. I am 15 years old. Though this book is for age 9 - 12, I thought it was not bad for me, because English is my second language, so I bought it for about $6 in Shanghai. It is really a nice book and tell me the things which I don't know. I don't think the author know that the book will be bought in such a long distance away and I am looking forward to getting full understand in it and I wish I could.

Certainly this book can break many peoples heart and want to make them cry. Mainly this book is a true event I think you should read this attractive book. Although I didn't know all this interesting facts am learning how to be safe on ships if I ever go on a ship trip I think you should read this book because you will get very interesting. 4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting facts for children, April 11, 1998
This review is from: Titanic Sinks! (Stepping Stone, paper) (Paperback)
This is an interesting juvenile book on a subject capturing the hearts and minds of all ages. I read my 11 year-old son's copy, and thought it was jammed pack with information about the disaster. The best part it was written so children could appreciate and understand it.

3.0 out of 5 stars My "Titanic" Book Report by Ryan Pearl, February 14, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Titanic Sinks! (Stepping Stone, paper) (Paperback)
In the first couple chapters, the book tells how wonderful the Titanic was. Very wealthy people were on the Titanic. People asked members of the crew if the boat could sink. The crew all said no it could not sink. The ship was built with the best of everything.

The story of the Titanic begins in Southampton, England and was to end in New York. Unfortunately, most of the story takes place after the Titanic hit an iceberg around Iceland in the Atlantic Ocean.

The ship hit an iceberg and began to sink. There were lifeboats on the ship but not nearly enough for everyone. Women and children were allowed on the lifeboats before the men. Wealthy people in first class got to leave before the poor people in third class. Many families did not want to be separated from each other and some men were chicken and wanted to get on the lifeboats before all the women and children were safe. In some cases the men were able to leave with the children and the mother stayed on board.

There were 2200 people on board the ship. In the end only 713 people survived. Over 1500 people died when the ship sank.
