These are hard to come by now that the show is long over but the quality is great. Would recommend to any collector. You could let your kid play with the high value, wouldn't recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Titanium Classic Colonial Viper, March 29, 2011

Very nice little model but definitely not worth over $10. I got mine at Target when they were first released. If you can find one for $10 or less, go for it; anything over that is just plain ridiculous.
They also look cool placed next to your Star Wars Titaniums.

My suggestion is to scavenge in stores like WalMart, KMart I found this Viper at Target in the clearence bin for only two dollars, take the time and sometimes you can find little treasures.

I've been looking all over to get one of the original series vipers, and just couldn't find one. So I bought one of these. I'm very happy with it. Unlike one of the other reviewers, mine came with a Galactica stand (and it does look sweet). It's a nicely detailed little unit, as are most of the Titanium series, although somebody went a little heavy on the panel lines, and they really jump out at you. This also has the effect of making the viper look darker than what you see in the photos here. Still, I love it.

I ordered this at least a year ago for WAY less than they're selling them for now! It seems the product has roughly tripled in price with the increased success of the TV series. At any rate, the model is very realistic and just what I expected from looking at the photo. It can be snapped onto its plastic stand and rotated. And it looks great on the desk next to the computer! A recommended collectible.

The model is actually very well detailed for a 3 Incher. Some vendors are selling it for +$[...] which is too high. I got it for around $[...] and I still feel I paid alot for it.

It doesn't bother me that it came with a STAR WARS stand instead of a BSG one. It appears to be an issue with these titanium models as I've seen others complain of the same thing on this & other BSG models. It has no moving parts like some of the Titanium Star Wars models.

It's all die cast except for the cockpit + top fin + guns & mine is a little darker than the one pictured. Looking at the picture, I thought it would be painted like it just rolled off the showroom, but the paint has a "smeared" effect, not exactly battle damage, but it does look like it's been through the worst of times which is quite nice !
