Book Description

August 2006
Tithes: The Extortion of the Body of Christ is a Bible study concerning the controversial issue of tithing and uncovers the true intent of the Lord Jesus Christ and the New Covenant with regard to Christian giving. Many Christians have questions concerning the tithe, but are afraid to ask for fear of reprisal by church leadership and fellow Christians. They want answers as to why they have not received the promises of Malachi 3. If you have questions about tithing and want real, biblical answers, then this book is for you!

4.0 out of 5 stars The real God robbers are demanding you keep the tithe law, September 15, 2008
This review is from: Tithes: The Extortion of the Body of Christ (Paperback)
Writing books like this is necessary to De-program the Lords people esp. the poor from years of being taught to believe that they must tithe or be cursed by God. This fear tactic to enforce tithing is like spitting in the Lord's precious face! How dare they bring a charge against Gods elect! "If God did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all then will He will surely also with Him (Jesus) freely give us all things (according to) Romans 8:32"

It is real sad that many Churches have now mandated tithing in their Mission Statements as a must do- right beside Christian Core beliefs and the requirements for Salvation. This is heretical! The Author of this book is courageous to write against this false abolished doctrine and for wanting the Lord to get the Credit He so rightly deserves.

Jesus was all alone on that Cross even God turned away from His one and only Son because God who is Holy could not look upon all those curses and sin that Jesus bore for us. In the end Jesus said " paid in full" only then did he breath his last.

God accepted Jesus finished work on the Cross. The works of Jesus alone gave us access to God along with every spiritual blessing & anything else that is needed. That is where your favor and access can be found--- in Him, NOT in your own works or self-efforts.

Apostle Peter said (in Acts 15:10) that the law was "a yoke of bondage that neither he or his ancestors could keep". Tithe teaching is wrong for many reason, some major ones are:
It promotes pride in human work and self effort,
It is equivalent to trying to extort God by demanding a blessing because of ones own payment/works, effort.
It negates the reason Jesus came (Gal 3:13 to redeem us from the curse of the law)
It brings a charge against Gods elect if they don't tithe.
It steals the glory of Grace now in our New Covenant of Grace.
It is impartial and selective this is one law there are 612 more!
It ignores New Testament Scripture ("Galatians 3:11 So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life.)"
It ignores (Col 2:14) that Jesus nailed the Old Testament laws to the cross.
It breeds confusion, Fear & Doubt.
It instills Pride (if you are paying 10 percent)
It robs the Lord of the credit due Him alone.
It causes resentment, disappointment.
It causes God to be blamed, questioned or accused if it is not working.
It will fail in the long run no lie can sustain itself.
It ignores Hebrews that calls Jesus offering a "better covenant" 13 times.
It has opened the door wide to materialism and self centered thinking, "as in what is in it for me?"
It is used by prosperity teachers who teach to give to get rich (not as an act of worship)

How dare I be so bold as to say tithing by mandate will fail and not bring lasting blessings? There were 613 Old Testament Laws to keep, not just one! All of those ordinances and required Old Testament Jewish laws had to be kept for favor and access to God. Including the sprinkling of the blood of a spotless unblemished Lamb. Jesus alone is worthy to be praised not your works and tithing record. Jesus did not even applaud the tithing Pharisees still under the Mosaic law before he went to the Cross.
He came to fulfill the law and He did it all for those who have placed their faith & trust in His works.
For this reason alone give your tithe, but do not insult the Lord and refer to it as paying God. While you are standing in the tithe line or holding up your tithe envelop as instructed by some Pastors, remember who really paid it all so you wouldn't have to do the impossible, which is to keep all 613 laws perfectly without breaking any one of them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great title for what tithing is, December 4, 2007

This review is from: Tithes: The Extortion of the Body of Christ (Paperback)
More and more voices are being raised up exposing the corruption of the apostate church and its' insatiable need for funding. Tithing for Christians? Not a single verse in the NT instructing any Christian or church to tithe. Not one verse. Extortion, manipulation is SOP. Quietly, lovingly, meeting a need is where the giving went in the Bible. "FREELY you have received, FREELY give", we were NEVER called to fund buildings, organizations, or ministries that call themselves Christian. The Temple is the body of Christ, not a building. "The Tithe That Binds" is a good read also. more can be found free at www.preparehisway.com
