This book is only good for a general idea of Titian's work. The reproductions are small and there are no close-ups. But I didn't send it back because it was not worth the trouble. It's a history book, not good for art viewing.

An informative and enjoyable book on one of the most important renaissance artists in Italy, with high quality illustrations.

Great book for learning more about Titian and the art of his time in Italy. I will be much better informed the next time I go to Italy.

The author of this paper focused on "art theory" which is one part of Titian's life. I would like to read more about his actual life and interactions with events and people of his time.. The reproductions are good, but seem to be lacking something - clarity?
Only the men are portrayed in clothing. Almost all of the women are undressed. And not all of the women are goddesses or saints or mythical creatures - some of them are living in Titian's world in everyday situations. And it appears to be a "man's" world.
