Necessary for boxing gloves, esp during warm months,

These are totally necessary if you sweat into your boxing gloves (as most people do). I use mine after 1-2 hours of kickboxing and they work wonders. I have to admit that my gloves are dry after the glove dogs are in them overnight, however, if i do multiple kickboxing sessions within 6-7 hours of each other, my gloves are not dried out even with the glove dogs in them. They are still great for the price and necessary if you dont want your boxing gear to smell gross! I would still suggest wiping out your gloves once in a while, esp down in the finger portion, as the glove dogs dont reach down that far!

The deodorizers fit the gloves well and have a nice soft smell. I like the way that they are attached to each other, it keeps the gloves together. My husband swets a lot, so he always inserts the deodorizers and they do work.

GLOVE DOGS ARE ESSENTIAL AND AWESOME!!!,

There is nothing more repugnant when sparring than having someone's nasty, stale fritos and farts smelling gloves in your face, except for being that nasty person. Anyone who works out in gloves will break a considerable sweat, and it needs to be drawn out and dried up before it becomes a foul-smelling fungus. GLOVE DOGS are the perfect answer. The subtle cedar scent is pleasant, and they wick out the sweat, which increases the life of your gloves. I train four times a week, my current gloves are two years old and they smell great, unlike others belonging to people who train with me but don't use glove dogs. I'vew started giving them out as gifts. This is a wise investment. (If you can't afford them, you can make your own with cedar chips and old socks. Do yourself and your sparring partners a favor!) FORGET DEODORANT SPRAYS: they don't dry out the sweat, and you may end up with non-odorous fungus, which is still bad for your hands.

I'm only sparring 2-3 times a week, but these leave my gloves smelling like a nice wood chip-ish smell and dry 'em out pretty well. They go all the way down the glove, not to the finger section though. And the glove dogs are also connected together kind of like a lanyard with hooks, so you can disconnect them from each other or leave them attached and hang your gloves up or just keep them together.

I like these. I don't use my gloves as heavily as some, maybe 10 hours/week, but I always sweat heavily into them. I wipe the insides of my gloves immediately after use, then put the glove dogs in. I also keep a couple of desiccant packs in my gym bag for overall moisture control. The inside of my gloves are always dry by the next use, and after 6+ months of regular use they don't stink yet. Worth the price.

I've been using these for a few weeks now and they've been great. I train 4-5 nights a week and my gloves usually end up soaked. Before I got the glove dogs my gloves were starting to smell. Now that I have them they dry quickly and thoroughly overnight and they don't smell at all. I highly recommend them as much for your training partners as yourself. No one likes the smelly guy in the gym.

Glove Dogs...What a great idea!,
Wow these things are life savers. I wish I would have had these years ago. I threw out over a dozen gloves until now. They stay fresh and mildew free for a long long time. Just put them in your gloves or shoes and leave them overnight and the next day. Wa la! Cool idea.

It stops working after a while, but it does keep your gloves fresh a good long while. Better than smelly gloves!

These don't work at all for me or my training partner,

At least for boxing gloves that are in constant use, these didn't do anything for drying out or deoderizing them. Paper towel tubes (for airing and drying) and foot spray (to kill anything that want's to grow in there) work better.
