This would be awesome if:

1. If you had baby midget arms.
2. Were the same diameter of a 12 year-old.
3. Dont expect much.

Listen guys, this is a 5 dollar piece of training equipment. Buy a large rubber band, place a thin foam grip on each end, then try to shadow box. Once you lose grip, and you will, try to avoid the loose end snapping around into your face.

Avoid unless you can satisfy 1-3.

this shadowboxer is a great addition for your workout. i come from more of a grappling background, but it was recommended to me by a kickboxer and i added it to my workouts. i've noticed a big difference in my cardio and i've gained a little muscle as well. i recommend this to anyone who wants a good, fun, and convenient workout.
