4.0 out of 5 stars Great Buy!
Golf balls arrived in just 3 days. Husband is a newbie to golfing - so I figured this item would be a good idea. When we opened the package- the golf balls all looked brand new. Husband was very pleased.

3.0 out of 5 stars One man's trash is another man's treasure!
This is a bag of 60 used golf balls - so if you are reading this expecting to receive a bag of barely used Pro-V1's, you will be let down. My bag contained mostly 2 and 3 year old balls that are faded, dead, and just plain ugly. I'm not complaining though, at 50 cents a ball - what can you really expect?

Quickly: If you shoot 95+, or have a chipping setup in your backyard, this is perfect. If you shoot around 85-95, you're going to play fine with these balls and you should just take some lessons. If you shoot below 85, you probably already have a regular brand/ball you play with and I don't know why you would want these.

Me, I shoot around 82, and I'm cheap as hell. If they could shoot in the 70's with a wooden ball in 1550 - I can play with a slightly used piece of plastic just fine.

1.0 out of 5 stars Won't buy from again, April 7, 2011

I didn't expect the balls to be flawless, but wow. I opened the balls and was immediately disappointed. I play quite a bit of golf, and find quite a bit of balls while playing. Most of the balls that I received here I wouldn't even pick up if I found it on the course, so you can imagine my frustration with PAYING for these balls. 75% of these balls are between 5-10 years old and are not even close to white in color. Most of the balls are a beige-tan ish color. A lot of the balls have scarring, about 20% of the balls were what i was expecting, off white with minimal scarring. These are advertised as B grade balls. The sender and I must have a completely different grading scale (his being wrong!). NOT HAPPY about this purchase. I'm not one to write reviews often, but I really don't want anyone else to get swindled like I did. If this paints a picture at all, most of the "Titleist" imprints are half worn off. Half of the balls look as if the have been rotting in a lake for years....Don't make the same mistake I did.

NOT TO MENTION THE LABEL ON THE BAG IS ACTUALLY C GRADE BALLS!!! I WISH I COULD RETURN THESE BUT I NEED THEM FOR THIS WEEKEND. AMAZON YOU FAILED ME.

For the most part these appear to be balls that the range shagger picked up and tossed in a bucket of "reusables". For practice rounds, these are great, as there is much less concern about losing a ball in the drink/weeds/gators, etc.

The only downfall to buying recycled balls is, much like Forrest Gump's 'box of chocolates', you never really know what you are getting -- some of these looked as though they sat on the bottom of a murky lake for the past three decades, while others appeared to be brand spankin' new. I'd say 50% of them have a corporate logo stamped on them as well.

I must admit that when I saw "B grade" in the title, I got excited, as that made me think these were "B stock" (a very different concept). It's my own fault for not understanding the rating scale -- and for failing Reading Comprehension 101 -- but I think part of me was expecting factory seconds, not just "washed lost balls." Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I'm merely passing along my experience as an FYI...

That said, I am very happy with my purchase, and hopefully this will be the last bag of shag balls I have to buy!

UPDATE: Used golf balls are typically rated AAAAA (near perfect) to AA (so-so). If you see B or C on the bag, you should be expecting nicked up shag balls and repainted practice balls. If you think you are simply saving money by buying B/C grade balls, think again. These are rated more like eggs/beef than school work!

Hope this helps!

5.0 out of 5 stars They Are What They Are.....Grade B Balls, February 7, 2011

These golf balls are exactly what they are advertised to be....Grade B balls. These are not "course quality", I bought them to throw in my shag bag and use for practice. At 40 cents a ball, they are a bargain, but if you're buying them to use on the course (except for maybe on a water hole) you'll be disappointed. They have blemishes, some are discolored, and others are logo overruns. You get what you pay for people.

OK but appear to have been coated with some type of clear coating which is a bit sticky. I would not recommend them.

I made this purchase for my husband, it was ok as he's not a professional golf player and the price was excellent. the balls were in good condition and he (my husband) had no complaints.

There were some good balls and then some that were not so good. I have seen better balls at the driving range.

I have been using "recycled" balls from Amazon for over a year. I must say this one is not as good as Nike and Calleway. There are so many balls that are in poor shape. DOn't save a few bucks her - go for Nike or Calleway.
