These balls are the way to go if you are serious about golf.
The pro v1X's have a softer feel and a little less spin. If you want a harder cover and more spin go with the V1.
At $5 a ball you want to be sure you are decent enough to not loose a bunch each round.
But if you dont need to worry about loosing balls buy these and you will see a great difference in your game.

I'm not a great golfer and have days of muffing, slicing, hooking, topping, and other golf evils as do most other persons who don't play that often. However, sometimes the shots actually work and the ball goes as visualized. I've found golf to be highly influenced by mental attitude and confidence is the secret to many of those decent shots. With Titleist ProV-1 balls, somehow I have considerably more confidence that the ball will behave than with other brands. This has been true for Titleist balls for me for 22 years or so, and whether or not there is any technical reason why this is true (even if it's because they're expensive), it works this way for me. Whenever I try new snazzy brands, less expensive brands, or used balls picked up off of the fairway, things seem to go sour in a hurry. Therefore my opinion is that one would be crazy to save a few dollars on a lesser golf ball and risk not enjoying your day on the greens. The case of 4 sleeves sold through Amazon are identical to new balls sold in pro shops.

This is the best ball you can get. For amateurs, this ball gives the best combination of distance, spin, and feel around and on the greens. Goes long and is durable! The Pro V1 will go farther because it will compress more for slower swing speeds, but because it is softer, and has more spin, it will also make those mis-hits of yours do a banana out of bounds. Stick with the V1x. Almost as far, less spin on drives, great feel and spin around and on the greens.

A man is as only as good as his balls, and the Titleist ProV1 golf ball is the only ball that can ensure this. The ProV1 is easily the best ball on the market. From the first tee box, all the way to the final putt on the 18th, this ball is going to make you and your scores better.
I have been playing golf for about eight years now and have learned that your equipment is only as good as the player behind it. However, the golf ball is an essential piece to my game allowing me to do what I have to do in order to capture the victory. Normally I will play anything from a range ball to a womans ball when practicing, but when I have a tournament or a trip coming up there is only one choice of ball to play…the Titleist ProV1.
From the minute you walkout of the store with an individual, a sleeve, or a dozen; it is a special moment of the day. Just the allure of the box alone is mesmerizing. That beautiful black, and bold bronze finish placed upon the cardboard box gives it the appearance of something spectacular and not just another box. And then you get to open the box. Once you remove the top of the box, it comes off ever so slowly, savoring the moment, and then there lies four sleeves of Titleist ProV1’s waiting to be striped down the middle of your local course or the spellbinding layout of Augusta National.
The balls give off a different feel than anything I’ve ever played before. Just the textures of them are awesome. I really don’t know how they did it. Titleist took a golf ball––a hard and strong object––and they made it soft! I mean, if you throw the ball at something or someone it will hurt, but I swear there is a cushion incorporated in the design. And if you do not believe that there are cotton balls within the small spherical structure, then you will simply have to experience their play on the links.
These balls grant you the ability to place every shot throughout your round wherever you want. From the bunkers, fairway, rough, and hell if you can play it out of a hazard then there’s that too; wherever you are on the course, you can hit a good shot with the ProV1.
However, there is only one downside to this masterpiece…the price. A dozen ProV1’s are marked between forty-five and fifty dollar, making them appear very overpriced for customers. And yes they are overpriced. Why would anyone in their right mind pay fifty dollars for twelve golf balls? Other competitors such as Callaway and Taylormade offer the same quantity of balls for a ballpark price of thirty dollars. From a fiscal standpoint, this is the smarter decision. But what are you missing out on? I’ll tell you.
A Titleist ProV1 is the most complex and efficient piece of golf ball engineering on the market to date. The ball is designed to have a softer feel and more adhesive touch around the greens. Ensuring the ball to physically perform better from about 120 yards and in. Now yes, other balls such as Titleist’s ProV1x goes further off of the tee, but where do the majority of golfers struggle? AROUND THE GREENS. I grew up on the phrase “drive for show, and putt for dough”, and I cannot begin to tell you how true this is. The ProV1 golf ball brings that desired touch around the greens to life.
Although the price is inflated, the ProV1 is the greatest ball money can buy. And if anything, the value of the ball makes you play smarter and better. Because you pay so much for the ball, why would you want to lose it? Play smarter by playing the Titleist ProV1.

I give the pro v1x golf ball a 4.7/5.0 ☆'s.
I like this ball a lot but I prefer the pro v1 for my game. Even though I hit on a mid to low trajectory I still like the pro v1s feel with my short irons & putter. The pro v1x does work better with my long game. I can hit higher long irons and higher tee shots with my woods and driver when using the pro v1x. My short game works better with a pro v1 so that outweighs the pro v1x with my long game. So the pro v1x is an outstanding ball and it just depends on your game and what you like. What part of your game needs more improvement? Long or short? That is basically what these balls are for. It may be different for you but that is how they worked for my game.

Somewhat disappointed with the quality. I realize these golf balls are used, however, by purchasing the "top grade" balls, I expected better quality. My experience with "experienced " golf balls from other sources is better quality. I should have returned them but decided to use them as practice balls as they were not worthy of use on a course!
