I discovered this radio at friends house. I intend to buy one for myself as soon as I save up the money. The design of this radio is nothing short of "cool" in its simplicity. Though it looks plain, you can tell by the heft of it that it's going to be better than your average radio. It is built solidly, with minimal surfaces to collect dust(which would make it the perfect job site radio).
When you turn it on the speaker makes one of the rich bass "pumff" type noises that bigger stereos make as the speakers come on. It has the sound quality that I've heard from Boss acoustic wave machines. Okay, maybe not that good, but very impressive nonetheless.
The nicest feature for me is the tuning knob. The knob that you turn has a five to one ratio to the outer indicator knob. This allows for easy fine tuning, great for the crowded parts of the radio spectrum.
And finally the reception is nothing short of the best I have ever come across. I live about 80 miles from the radio stations I listen to. Sometimes my favorites just don't come in. Not with this radio. In fact I discovered some Seattle stations I'd never heard before.
If you like owning the best, and can cough up the money, buy this baby. You'll be glad you did.

This has to be the best AM FM tuner I've ever used. The battery pack last a ridiculously long time. It has a very solid and sturdy design. I use it when I wash my car, at the park and at work. It's a great buy.

This radio is all I hoped it would be and more! The small size is real handy when you want portable but the sound is large. The tuner is the best of any radio i have owned.
