This review is from: Tlc (Audio CD)
Who do you know comes from Baltimore? There's The Raven's Edgar Allen Poe, "The Lady" according to Tim Hardin, and of course guitarist Mark Mosley! Mark's father steeped him in the Blues tradition of BB King and Albert Collins, and the spirit of Jazz entered his life as a teenager... however, after graduating military college Mark served as an Army Paratrooper prior to becoming a professional musician. Over the years Baltimore's Mosley has developed his own unique styling of playing. TLC is his second release and features some exemplary musicians: Stanley Banks, Gary Grainger, Onaje Allan Gumbs, Buddy Willliams and producer Moe Daniels. The Album swings and I do mean swings from Old School to Hip Hop with killer cuts including the spot on James Brown tribute "JB," the Smooth Jazz hit "A Night In Baltimore" and the beautiful vocal of the classic "Misty." Pick up a little TLC from one of Baltimore's finest! ~STEWART COXHEAD
