Book Description

A hostile takeover, an irresistible man and unexpected lust.
What else could go wrong? Erin Cameron can’t imagine . . . until she falls for the very man who would take her livelihood from her without a qualm.
In her longtime gallery manager disguise as Cam Boucher, Erin Cameron’s senses are overwhelmed when a sexy, charming, and somewhat ruthless billionaire strolls into Cameron Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut, as though he owns it. Taken aback by her immediate and intense desire for Tristan Forsyth, Erin finds she can’t get him out of her mind.
With Tristan’s continual interruptions, veiled threats of adding her gallery to the increasing number of world-wide galleries he already owns, Erin is worried she’s met her match. Mrs. Hardy, housekeeper and matchmaker at the Cameron estate, isn’t much help when it comes to Erin’s attempts to avoid Tristan. Erin finally faces him down at New York’s Metropolitan Museum, and sparks fly. Will they both be consumed by the scorching fire between them that is undeniable? Can Erin allow him to take all she holds dear for one night of sex? Painted into a corner, Erin searches her heart for a way to deal with the dangerous problems facing her.

A little bit mystery, a little bit love, a little bit adventure...a whole lot-ta lust!

I like this story, yes it has a rich guy with a huge ego trying to score a new business and a little naughty business on the side. It has a stubborn strong willed woman who trying her damnedest to ignore her desires to bed this sexy foreigner!

All manner of drama takes place in this story, an unwanted attempt of a company take over, a major theft, and a woman in disguise.

Ms Stone has written a great novella here, I am dying to read the next of her novellas...

I liked this book enough that I went to buy her next announced novella titled "A Billionaire's Wish" but could not find it! BUMMER! She writes well and I liked the character development and story line. I was looking forward to reading more of her works.

3.0 out of 5 stars Felt Incomplete January 2, 2014

I have mixed feelings about this story. While I enjoyed the concept and found the heroine Erin to be strong and resourceful (even through her apparent inability to resist Tristan on a sexual level), it felt like the story was unresolved and I'm not sure I liked Tristan enough to accept him as Erin's equal and love interest. In fact, I'm not sure love played a role in this story - it certainly wasn't mentioned until the very last page and only then in the description of their hours of sex.

I'm going to mention why I felt this was unresolved so I am issuing a ****SPOILER ALERT****

Tristan is so adamant that he should buy Erin's studio that he is relentless and uses some underhand tactics - one minute we find out he is famous for these and the next we hear only good things about him. I don't feel these contradictions were fully explored and explained.

He eventually explains why her gallery is the only one he wants (through her father's request for collaboration) but we only have his word for this and it doesn't explain why he is being so ruthless and seems determined to buy Erin's home as well as her gallery. There seems to be some good motives but not enough to explain his actions. If we are supposed to believe he fell in love with her through her father and mother's descriptions before even meeting her then this needs greater explanation.

Erin may be more inclined to be open to his offer of purchase once she hears of her father's wishes but she doesn't strike me as someone who would allow herself to be pushed into a corner. The announcement Tristan makes to the press is underhand and should have Erin even more determined to resist his offers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mystery and romance in one April 9, 2014
I found Dona Stone's "To Catch a Billionaire" to be a slower paced read than is normal for me. The story line was well written and easy to follow. It has a little bit of mystery paired with a small amount of romance. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light read.
