1.0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! April 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If this is called romance then the writer does not know the first thing about it. I could not even look at the how it was written b/c the story ended despicable. I have never written a review before, but I feel I must warn others who might think this would be a good read. I am disgusted that I have the story in my brain and it won't go away.

The so called H decided his promotions would keep him in the long run instead of saving the h. He 'signed' the order to have h killed! Then found out there were pictures of her death and obtained them and saw what was done to her in detail. He then put his feelings for her way back in his thoughts and had a drink! END OF BOOK!

End of spoiler

I need a drink and hope I don't remember this book at all. I don't care if the story shows her as an informant. If she was such trouble for him to be involved with he should have stayed away.

This is not romance, but a sick story. It was deleted from my kindle the minute I finished reading it. Will not be reading anything from this writer again.

The download was bad as well. I tried every way possible to get the pages to stop clipping the last words of each sentence off. I just had to make up the words myself.

Don't buy or read!!! IMO.............

4.0 out of 5 stars What a Story! October 8, 2012
Format:Audible Audio Edition
What a story! You can tell from some other people that this story will mess with your head. Whether that's good or bad depends on you. For me the story was visceral and really gets into you. I like that. There were definitely some parts of the story that get bogged down with details, but overall I enjoyed it. Give it a chance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing story May 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Read this because I liked a previous story by the author. Found the story to be very engaging, and though it's tragic, it was a worthwhile read. If you don't like tragic or sad stories don't read it, but if you don't mind stories like that, you should enjoy (or be able to mull over) this one. Nothing else to say, really.

5.0 out of 5 stars "To Love a Rat" review May 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Read this piece in one sitting. This is the kind of story that makes you think. a lot. It is very bold, macabre and in your face, without being too obvious. I liked the fact that the love (is that the right word?) story is the focus, while the war rages in the back ground.

More About the Author

Lowhim served in the US Army as a Green Beret and graduated from Columbia University. He's been published in LA review of LA, Nine Line Anthology, and Afterwords.
Born in the bubbling cauldron of Tanzania, he picked up his first pen at the age of two and chewed. He's progressed much since then. He wrote his first story at 5, a knockoff of all the prince-saves-princess stories he'd read at the time. Life did not rest. It took him to India, then frigid Michigan. The shock, according to parent-sources, was a character building exercise. Lowhim, however, only remembered clenched fingers trying to write.
Soon he was hitchhiking the mountainous American West, where the outlaw locals kept his journal full of color. It wasn't long before he joined the US Army where the detritus of Babylon only furthered his literary ambitions. Iraq wasn't done with him. He would return, an Engineer in 5th SFG. When he returned from that trip, he finished his first novel.
Released upon the world, he attended Columbia University. He spent his free time writing and working with other authors. He graduated and has since been penning some of the most ambitious novels this side of that Pluto rock.
Lowhim currently lives with his girlfriend in the Bronx. You can visit his blog at:
